PS: No more playing time for Thomas Kleine lately?
Hopefully not.
He didn't convince me when I saw him play. Imo both Fahnenhorst and Vinicius are clearly better than him.
He's incredibly slow and imobile.
Enke was great in the Sportstudio, I agree. He's very genuine.

He scored in the 28th, IIRC, and then twisted his ankle just before HT.
According to the local paper it's not bad thank god.
I dream of a creative attacking midfielder and then I read about a Madlung rumour. Terrible.

Thanks. I hope he gets better soon.
And Madlung would be... not sooo nice. I don't think he'd solve our biggest problem, we need someone like Diego, VdV or Marcelinho, but possibly with less of an attitude. In general it's still looking good though, let's hope the other teams continue to play crappier than us.

Eat that S04!
Yeah, we're back were we belong, somewhere between 8th and 12th in the table.
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORING!

Wow, you sure complain alot considering you guys just put in a pretty good performance :)
Imo they played pretty terrible except for Tarnat and Huszti and could have easily lost 2:6.
All these rumours about Madlung and Ismael make me really sad when it's so clear to me that we lack a player like Hajnal and not another defender (even though the defense totally sucked today).

Huszti today played very good!!!!
Hannover-Schalke goals (http://www.videoplayer.hu/videos/play/112304)
Yes the goal was nice but in general except for penalties he's playing much worse than last year imo.

Yeah Huszti was great. Well, we didn't play tooooo bad, but still, both defences made a lot of mistakes (so did Enke by the way, hope he just had a bad day). Hanke is fighting a lot, if we'd have a second forward who's actually scoring and a good player for the 10 position we'd be pretty good. Cherundolo was missed today, nothing going on on the right side.
After all, if we win the next 2 games it isn't as bad, but this team is obviously not good enough for Europe...

Yeha, well done. 15k asttendance is quite poor though, considering both are clubs from the north. Appearantly some HSV Ultras were there as well, so I guess a few thousands Hanoverians and friends.

Kicker and other German sports news pages are reporting that the Ismael from Bayern to Hannover deal is done.
He'll move during the winter break and sign a contract with you guys good until 2010.
Good luck. If he can stay healthy, in my opinion, you guys got a hell of a steal!!

Good luck here in Hannover!
Interview with Mertesacker in the local paper in light of tomorrow's game against Bremen.
I translated it in 10 minutes so forgive me some weird expressions.
When you scored against 96 last season you didn't celebrate. Will you celebrate this time around?
I'll try to score of course but you won't see me celebrating that much.
Did your feelings for 96 cool down after having been in Bremen for 18 months now?
No. Ich can't imagine ever coming back without emotions and feelings. That's not going to happen. Hannover is my "Heimatverein". (Heimat = home, verein = club).
What is going to be different to the 4:0 with the NT against Cyprus?
It was great to play for Germany in Hannover but coming back as a player of a club-team is bigger. That the most emotional thing for me. A lot of my friends are 96-Fans. That's going to be conflicting for sure, I guess they'll keep their fingers crossed for both 96 and me.
Bremen is not that far off Bayern as everybody assumed at first.
In the beginning we weren't good enough but now we're even.
Recently you even wore the captain's armband. How much of Tarnat is in you?
He helped me a lot at 96. I'm not quite as good as him in anticipating situations though but I'm on a good way.
Is Diego the biggest difference between Werder and 96?
A player with a special individual class is important for every Top-team because he can make the difference in certain situations. Hannover has problems finding a solution to the #10 position.
How is 96 perceived in Bremen?
Hannover's good first games of the season have been noticed of course. 96 can achieve getting 30 points, the last time that happenend Ewald Lienen was still coach.
Who is going to get your jersey?
Hanno
Recently you indicated to play for 96 again some time.
Hannover will always be the center point. What that will mean for the future you can figure out yourself but I don't want to speak about it yet because there's still a lot of titles to win.
Would you like to play in Spain like Metzelder?
I think it's great that Christoph did this move and does compete against players now that cost 30.000.000 Euros like Pepe.
That is a different challenge than Hannover or Bremen and every experience he makes is interesting for me. Right now I'm really happy here because Bremen has a team that is hungry and motivated to win titles but apart from that going abroad surely is interesting a thing I'd love to do one day.
Wll, in that case you'd be even farther away from Pattensen - do you still have a room in your parent's house?
My brother stole my old room because it's a little bit bigger than his old one. I now have his old room. I stay there about once a month.
You aren't home more often?
I don'T have the time. Most of the time friends come over to visit me me for a few days and my parents watch almost every homegame. Bremen is not that far away.
Is your apartment finished yet?
Not yet but soon. This is my first free week since the summer so now I'm going to put in the lamps.
Wow, you're living in the apartment for over a year and now you're putting in the lamps?
Well yes. Right now there are still only bulbs.
So are we right in assuming that you're single at the moment then?
I'm very busy at the moment, travel a lot and don't want to be in a telephone relationship. It's better this way. I still have old relations and friendships that are going strong.
How much did you change because of this fast career?
Well, spent a lot of time with football and get a lot of attention in the whole world. All that causes a certain pressure and stress of which I'd love to get rid of somehow. Sometimes it's not easy to cope with all this but it also gave me so much.
Everything went so fast. one highlight followed the other. I didn't even have time to reflect on things. I just try to take everything in as it happens.
Do you prefer one goalie over the other for the NT?
I've had great experiences with Lehmann so far. He's very experienced and gives me a lot of tips and suggestions that are very important for CBs. It gives me a lot of confidence. It's not different with Robert. I have no problem with him playing in goal for the NT because he's calm and has the charisma a German NT keeper needs.
Your thoughts on the EC group?
We've got a good group, still it's going to be three nasty group games. We aren't as complete as many are making us out to be but we're hungry and want to get better.
Do you speak with Klinsmann from time to time?[/b}
He sends SMS regularly. He started everyting and wants to stay involved. I like that.
[b]Are you still in touch with your former youth coach Jürgen Stoffregen?
He's very important for me. He calls, criticizes me and also compliments me on good games. He's very good in anylyzing things.
Do you still watch at 96's results when you're playing with Bremen at the same time?
When the situation is right I do look at the board. When Schulz scores you can also hear it here in Bremen, that's quite funny.
The last time Jiri Stajner was your opponent now it will be Hanke. What do you expect?
Mike is a very good header and knows how to protect the ball. That is goingt o be a challenge. He claims he doesn't get enough crosses. Let's hope it stays that way because when he gets good service he's really dangerous.
