Yea I think it was definitely a push on Steve. I would have given a foul, the guy practically put his whole body into brushing off Steve.

I don't remember Zizzo getting a touch.

Yeah, it certainly looked like a foul to me. He got pushed off by the attacking player who dropped it to Kallstrom who then hit a terrific shot to score.

Steve almost scored in the 1st half. Caught the keeper cheating off his line and tried to chip him. He hit the shot almost perfectly, but the keeper wasn't far enough out and was able to recover to catch it. I think he also got the armband when Bocanegra was subbed out.

I just saw he played almost 15 minutes and not only 5 like I thought earlier.
So he didn't touch the ball in 15 minutes? :eek:

Btw, Brdaric had surgery on his knee today, the conservative treatment didn't work out. :(

Btw, did a mod abuse his powers and repeatedly kicked this thread?

If so - awesome!

I had a bit time this afternoon and stopped by at 96's training ground.

While the others were busy training Stevie was busy writing autographs before he left for his car.
Either Zizzo cut his hair or he was nowhere to be seen. Disappointing.

Nice pics!

Several of our officers and board members are headed to Hannover next month to negotiate a new reinsurance contract. I've been trying to convince them I need to go in case any I.T. issues arise, but with no luck. :o

Oh, well...if I can't make them take me, I'm making them pick up some jerseys for my boys.

As much as I value your posts, it's not like you're the reason the H96 thread is alive. I give you credits for the name, but that's about it :-P

You know, I don't click on this thread for the soccer content. I usually ignore this. Why do I still click on it from time to time? Well, there's always the chance of a quality post by the usual suspects. But now I'm tempted to rethink my approach :p. On the other hand... the picture does kinda match the quote...

I know it sounds mean, but looking at Braunschweig after a loss like the one today makes the day brighter by a supernova ;-)

Ok, ernestly, alex, feel free to roam in here as long as you behave ;-)

That was the most depressing 96 game I can remember.

96 was just totally outclassed in all areas of the game.
They were scared, they were slow, they were technically and tactically inferior.

Brilliant performance by Bayern, no one is going to stop them this season sadly.

How could you not even get ONE chance to score, pathetic.

First game against Hamburg:
* getting dominated by Hamburg 80 minutes. Inferior both tactically, technically and also lost most tackles

Karlsruhe game:
* lucky win
* no creativity, slow
* spirit was ok
* Karlsruhe was pretty much outclassed by Leverkusen today, they looked at least as good as us when we played them

Well, and then there was yesterday. I really hope this team is not as bad as it seems right now but I'm starting to get nervous to be honest. It hink 3 points is ok after this hard schedule to thestart of the season it's more the way they played that frightens me.

The way i see Hannover's season so far:

Hamburg:
a very equal game between two similarly strong sides that Hamburg won not because they were much better, but because 96 didn't take their own chances to score.

Karlsruhe:
A very good result away to a side who will surely be hard to beat at home this season.

Munich:
3-0. But considering that Munich are so great this year that's not even THAT bad. Bremen and Rostock did just as bad, Bremen at HOME. And none of them created scoring chances either. For now, Munich is just too strong, nothing wrong with Hannover.

So yeah, i think you're being a bit tough on your team :)

The first 20 minutes were ok I think, then the team just fell apart. But in order to really evaluate this result I'd like to see how both 96 and Bayern do the next 3 games.
The result was ok as well, at least we conceded one less goal than Werder.
What I absolutely not like is how the Bayern officials talk about protecting their players. The 2nd yellow against Lala shouldn't have been one and clearly only came because Hoeneß and Hitzfeld talked so much stupid stuff.
This was in no way game deciding whatsoever, though.

Losing to this Bayern side with 1 man down for half of the match 3 to 0 is ok I think. Not good of course, but not the end of the world neither.

Yeah, someone over at USMNT tracked all the players' touches for the game. Zizzo never even touched the ball. :o
