Actually, when I went to see Hannover play, Hashemian did get a lot of stick from the fans. I don't think he's too popular in Hannover, but for good reason, I reckon they pay good money to the Helicopter.

If any of you missed the game, watch the Highlights (http://watchgoals.blogspot.com/2007/08/bundesliga-week-2karlsruhe-1-2-hannover.html)

Got to watch the game on GolTV last night. We looked like crap. Can we string together more then 3 passes without turning it over?

I never said he didn't but my point is he's neven been treated unfairly. He was never booed and being criticized for socring 8 goals over two season is not unfair imo.

I agree they played horrible again but the result was awesome. The 96 of old would a lost a game like this.
Now with three points on the bank they can start to settle down and play a little bit calmer and when Rosenthal, Tarnat and Vinicius are back I fully expect them to show what they are capable of.

Tons of great pictures of the game:

Apparently Klose will miss the game against us. Great news, now we "only" have to deal with Schweinsteiger, Ribery, Van Bommel, Toni and Altintop. lol

I think Hanover’s signing policy has been pretty insane this summer. Spending so much money for hanke when you already have 4 center forwards and then signing Lauth.

Lauth is actually more talented than hanke but because hanke cost 5 times more he’s gonna have to start at CF. That will force lauth to the RW which he absolutely can’t play . and they also signed 3 right wingers with rosental already there. What to do with all of them if lauth continues playing RW.

Could be that manager is corrupt.

Zizzo was called up for the game against Sweden, quite strange imo but pretty exciting for him even though I don't expect him to play. Maybe Stevie has to take him everywhere he goes? ;)

Steve looks to start and Sal is on the bench.

Keep us posted.
We are the n1 club for Americans in Germany for sure now, aren't we? Even though Steve still doesn't get the YA love he deserves... well everything outside the EPL or La Liga is crap anyways ;-)

Zizzo got subbed in at around minute 80, did nothing really. Kamani Hill of Wolfsburg was pretty impressive. Nothing really much to say about this game except it was pretty much all of what I expected.

1-0 Sweden

Kallstrom scored.

Cherundolo also played steady, made a few mistakes though and got manhandled badly by Ibrahimovic in the air (naturally).

result?

Sweden 1: 0 USA

I did not really pay attention to the pbp, as I am fairly busy at work today, but it looked like a few young ones got some playing time.

Thanks for the traffic guys. :D You should have at least kicked it though.

Did Zizzo event touch the ball in the 5 minutes he was on the field?
And I hear Stevie was fouled on the goal?

Yea I think it was definitely a push on Steve. I would have given a foul, the guy practically put his whole body into brushing off Steve.

I don't remember Zizzo getting a touch.
