Apparently we're still after Schulz.

I don't really understand that move. Imo our squad is already way too deep.

We need to get rid of quite a few players (Hashemian, Schröder, STajner).
Who should leave the squad for him?

If he comes we should loan Halfar because then I see no chance for him to play at all.

I have to admit I don't really like Balitsch all that much but I don't think Hecking would bench or sell him.

According to some press (French, German, Serbian)
Werder is close on signing 19 years old D.Tosic from Sochaux.
If he is really signed Schulz can propably leave.

Well done 96. Now we have to concentrate on the Hamburg game, but there's no reason not to be confident.

Thomas Kleine manages to score in his first competition game for 96!

Who knows, maybe he'll even top the number of goals scored for Fürth last season...;)

I doubt it because he won't play that much.

Highlights against Ahlen (Hanke's first goal as well):

Ah no. ;)

But the little 12-year old girls have glowing eyes for sure (do you say that in Engish) but Huszti, steve and Hanke are still the favourites for them and Lauth even though I have not the slightest idea why. Must still be the Nutella-boy fame.

As stated in the German Hamburg forum: We don't need scouts for new signings, we just watch the new Nutella add! :-D

Madrid to move for Huszti?:

:D

Still, Huszti always said that his dream is to play in Spain so I wouldn't be surprised to see him get sold for a few million Euro after this season to a team like Valencia of Betis, FC Sevilla, Villareal, Athletcio should he play like he did in his best games constantly this season.

That's soo cute.

Well, I've been to the stadium of course and it's was terrible.

They were sooo bad it reminded me of long gone Lienen times.
Hecking is a good coach though and I fully expect him to change things even though the last three games of the last season made me think a little.

Hanke was invisible but he's still not fully fit and I'm not ready yet to write him off, still it's terrible to see other teams discover players like Radu, Ishiaku or Gekas and they score and score and 96 buys former top-scorers and once they are here they suck.

Even worse than the play of 96 was the atmosphere. It gets worse each year instead of better.
And I'm sick of this friendship with Hamburg, I don't feel anything for them, I don't care and most of their fans don't think much about it either, that was obvious.

This is OUR stadium, I don't want to hear "Hamburg meine Perle" and have half of Hamburg sitting in our block!

Rosenthal is out for the game. :(

I really really hope they don't blow it against Karlsruhe. That would be like the worst start in the season imaginable.

Think I'm going to watch 96 II play Braunschweig II on september 2nd. I'm quite interested in seeing Zizzo play and it's only four Euros. They will play in the big stadium though.

Zizzo was called up for the game against Sweden, quite strange imo but pretty exciting for him even though I don't expect him to play. Maybe Stevie has to take him everywhere he goes? ;)

I'm so sick of every forward whining to the press.
Hashemian claims that he's being unfairly criticized. Please.
He scored 4 goals in each of his seasons here and he has not been booed once but I think it's our right to at least criticize him and I don't think he's treated other than the other players (ok, maybe Jiri as he can't do anything wrong for a lot of fans. Also he actually did produce better than Vahid and had also way more assists) but Hanke will be criticized even harder should he continue playing like he did against Hamburg as will Lauth should he not produce.

Vahid scored 8 goals in 61 games for us, Bradirc for example scored 27 in 70 games.
I mean even Lauth scored 11 goals in his last 59 Bundesliga games.

I had really hoped that the times that I would hope for Brdaric to save us would be over but I guess they are not. Let's hope his knee holds.

Not that unusual for Bradley calling in young players to train with the senior team.
