Good point. I'm going to root for Blackburn, but I am interested in the result. I must say that I will not be too upset if Chelsea wins. I *think* Spurs will finish 6th or perhaps even 5th ... but I wouldn't mind the cushion of finishing 7th and still making the UEFA Cup. And maybe more importantly, I want more Premiership teams in those top competitions and performing well.

If Plantini has his way, the Premiership will be limited to less than 4 Champions League spots in the future, which IMHO would be a travesty. As 3 of the final 4 CL spots are Premiership teams, and Arsenal certainly showed they belonged in the competition ... I think all 4 of the Premiership slots are deserved.

ballack scores in 2nd half of extra time and they ended up winning 2-1 and its a man u vs chelsea FA cup final.

Funny moment, near the end cech got hurt i guess and threw the ball out and your not really forced to give it back and blackburn didnt' and threw it in trying to score, it was kinda funny.

It was a foul throw, a real waste :( Chelsea would have done the same thing if they had been chasing a goal.

its sad that I hate chelsea so much I am actively supporting ManU to win the FA Cup. Seriously, would you prefer a Chelsea v ManU final which, despite the hype will likely be boring for 80 out of 90 minutes with some handbags and one sublime goal or Blackburn v Plymouth with not a prawn sandwich to be seen for a country mile at that new stadium in London?

I will be wanting Man Utd to win too, but also expect a dullard game. The FA got what they wanted though - even Sky and the BBC said so this weekend. The top 2 in the final, how convenient they are kept apart in the quarter and semi draw.

Go United go! If United win this is probably the 2nd best scenario I could have hoped for after a United v. Spurs final. I shudder to even say this ... but now we have to win 7th. Letting Wigan score 3 goals ... Hauler's right, we need some quality defenders in the offseason. I'm expecting 6th, hoping for 5th ... but really at this point I'd be content with 7th.

Ultimately, I think this has been a very good transition year ... I just want the European adventure to continue next season.

I didn't feel like creating a new thread for this, but something happened to me involving Chelsea that really bugged me.

Now, I'm not a Chelsea supporter, I'm Tottenham through and through. However, I do, admittingly, own a Chelsea jersey (gasp). The reason is that I am a big Lampard fan, and I was given the jersey as a Christmas gift from my father. He asked me to look for a jersey to get me for Christmas, and I couldn't find any Spurs jersey's in my size. I gave him some names of other players I support, and got this blue Chelski shirt. It doesn't bother me, they aren't Arse and I don't despise the club despite knowing they are a London rival.

In my earliest class at my University, there is an English girl. I walked in today, and she goes CHELSEA?!? GET AWAY FROM ME! jokingly. I didn't know she was a football fan, but regardless. I say "Actually, I'm a Tottenham supporter, but I like watching Lampard play". To my surprise, she's a Tottenham season ticket holder! She comes back at me with "If you were a true Tottenham fan, you would never wear that shirt. You don't have an Arsenal shirt, too, do you?". I was taking it in good spirits, but is wearing this shirt really suggesting I am not a true supporter? Granted, I don't need approval from this girl, but it did irritate me a bit. I've never been to England, so I don't have any real hatred towards Chelsea not growing up around it. Having most of my family heritage from England, though, I support my favorite members from the England squad (despite Lampard's lackluster past few years).

You might not want to hear my perspective...but I would say there is a healthy rivalry between the pair of you. Gunns v Spurs will always be the biggest derby in London, but there's just a bit of bad blood between Chelsea and Spurs. I went to the 5-1 match a few years back (don't ask why I was at a Spurs match) and there was a pretty feverent atmosphere.

Obviously I wouldn't go around wearing a Chelsea shirt being an Arsenal fan, and in normal circumstances i wouldn't expect Spurs fans to neither. But you're right, 1) you've not been surrounded by the rivalry, and probably don't feel as passionate about it as certain sections of the British-based Spurs fans do, and 2) you have your reasons. So play on, playa!

If she's hot, you'll burn it right in front of her.

Yeah yeah, I know. But honestly, I'm really not this shallow.

But you got to understand, a lot of people take that sort of thing seriously. I only own stuff from teams I support, and would never wear anything from a rival. I do enjoy watching Derek Jeter play, but I'd rather make love to a fire then wear a Yankee jersey. It's just me though, I can't speak for anyone else.

We won't ask, because we already know the answer. You are the biggest closet Spurs supporter. And we love you for it.

... is wearing this shirt really suggesting I am not a true supporter? ...

it certainly is.

not correctly, perhaps; but i feel quite comfortable in saying that whenever i see someone in a chelsea shirt, whatever else may be suggested, "this might be a spurs fan" is not among them.

i don't doubt for a second that you're a spurs fan. and you can wear whatever you want. so this is not a criticism, but the literal answer to your question is 'yes'.
