Anyone here planning to watch the two-hour premiere of this Fox show (http://www.fox.com/drive/) this coming Sunday?

The premiere was pretty interesting. :)
The next episode airs tomorrow (Monday) in its regular timeslot.

Promising idea. Poor execution. I'd be surprised if it lasts 2 months.

I stayed with the premier because I like Nathan Fillion, but they'll have to improve it for me to keep watching.

The premise is very shaky - the writers better have an idea where this stuff is going or it could go Lost very easily.
But I'll watch as long as Fillion is there. And I trust Tim Minear to make it great.

I was thinking tonight's episode was pretty weak, but then I watched the steaming pile of crap that was 11:00pm to 12:am, and [i]Drive[i] looked pretty good in comparison.

Drive's premier didn't do so well in the ratings game.

It took almost 3 hours of TV for the main character (Fillion) to get a real car to race in.
That's not a good sign.

Another interesting episode yesterday :), even though one of the drivers was killed. :(

Looks like the show has been canceled. Fox is the worst network ever.

Wow, that was fast. Not that Fox has a good record about supporting shows, but they actually took significant measures to promote this one. Corporate infighting or just world class stupidity?

Or it was a terrible show that nobody was watching.

Terrible obviously isn't a problem for Fox given the amount of crud they've aired over the years. Considering the kind of promotion that they did (heavy adds and a two hour premiere on a Sunday night), it doesn't make sense to only give it ten days in real time to sink or swim....unless there is internal conflict or they really enjoy shooting themselves in the foot.

Three hours in two days is a bit much. I'm never sure why people think that is a good idea. When 24 does it's 4 hours in two days, I'd never be able to watch it all if I didn't have a PVR.
I thought the show had potential. I'm a huge Fillion fan, and Minnear does good work. FOX has a notoriously short fuse when it comes to poor ratings. But you have to give a show more than 10 days to build an audience.
Anybody know what the odds are that the remaining nine (NINE!) episodes make it to TV? I know when they shitcanned Firefly the unaired episodes remained unaired. Trying to decide if I should go ahead and delete my recording rule or not...

From what I read, there were only two more completed episodes in the can when it was cancelled and Fox is expected to burn those off on a couple of Fridays in May, in place of House reruns I guess.

I guess the rule stays for a while, then.
