Is this a full-time club, incidentally?
p.s. they're generally called Scots, not Scotlanders

Minnesota is a professional club in the USL First Division.
The thread title makes it sounds like Scots are rare in US soccer. Steve Nicol is the manager of the New England Revolution, Mo Johnston is the manager at Toronto and Paul Dalglish plays at Houston and is managed by Glasgow-born Dominic Kinnear.

Is Canero still around? I thought i had read that Toronto picked him up after NY told him he was pish....but i don't see him listed anywhere on the Toronto squad.

Wikipedia says that Peter Canero just played through the 2006 season. Paul Daglish appears to be the only Scot currently playing in MLS.

Hello.
Didn't have any intention other than to let folks know that a countryman was playing for the Thunder.
In case anyone is interested he says his homeland club is Airdrie United.

PS: I know the proper term for someone who lives in Scotland. I was just goofin' with the language to draw attention to the thread. I mean, my first name is Scott. :)

Doesn't look as if he's even played fitba' (professionally or otherwise) in Scotland?

Since his profile says that he went to high school in Minnesota, could he be a Scot in the same way that Jemal Johnson is an American? Namely, that he was born in Scotland and moved to America at a very young age.

Let me know when you support a real club instead of a farm system. Go away troll!

Minnesota is a professional club in the USL First Division. To be more factual, the USL First Division is actually the US 2nd Division. MLS is the top US league.
