Changes to Equipment Forum - Please read everyone!

A while ago we had a thread discussing how to improve this forum. Since then the forum has been reorganised a bit, and further to this jc and myself have been trying to get the "powers that be" to set up a seperate "Buying and Selling" subforum. This is for two reasons - firstly that we are finding that the demand is outgrowing the thread, and second it will keep pointless "can anyone tell me where to buy Predator Accelerators?" posts off the forum. You know exactly what I mean. Therefore, since I feel it would benefit everyone to do this, I want to get it pushed on as soon as possible. If you feel this is beneficial to the forum to have this seperate sub-forum, please say so in this thread, and then I can forward it to DK and hopefully get this show on the road!

Oh, just thought I would add that another possible benefit of this seperate sub-forum is that we can then have seperate threads for each item being sold, and therefore questions regarding the item do not clutter up the thread as they currently do.

I think its a great idea. Its a pain to sift through countless pages and only see a few boots for sale. I think the new forum should be itemized though, that way you can only look at boots, or jerseys, etc etc

Apparently they are looking at making the "Collectors and Collectibles" our new "Swapshop" forum by operating them both at the same time. I see problems with this.

1) The forum is full of people discussing rare items or things like what jersey's they own (not picking on you R&W!) but the point I make is that the forum we have will have one of two thread titles. SELLING or WANT.

2) There's a hell of a lot of crap that's NSR. The forum I want us to have will be cleats, jerseys or other football equipment. That's it.

3) The current rules of the Collectibles forum state that your cleats is not a rare or valuable item, and you can't sell them there anyway! Do I really want to go through the hassle of reworking a whole forum, pissing off the people who are already posting there and kicking them off just so I can put stuff in there, or do we just get our own subforum (add this is SMALLER than a full forum) and take it from there?

RANT OVER. For now.

point 3 sounds the most pervasive reason for not joining an existing forum thats rules would be negate our needs...if that made any sense, I've been doing work for a stupid college course that im apparently doing and am losing the will to type....
