Ok, so I'm finally going to watch Lost. It's been around on tv (even here) for a long time already, only by the time I thought to myself that I might want to watch it, it was already the 2nd season. I hate going into things having missed a whole lot of the story. Hate it! So I'm downloading season 1 right now to see if it's actually any good.
Let's say our thanks to internet yet again, it's good for everything.
The reason I missed the entire first season, being that apart from football I don't really watch any tv anymore. Shocking! So apart from this being the television thread, I want to find out if I've been missing some golden series (á la Twin Peaks the first season = tv gold) so I can download it. :D
Reading good things about Heroes and Battlestar Galactica (neither is out over here yet I believe)....although the old Battlestar Galactica was never to my liking....maybe it's different this time.
Discuss!

why download when you can watch it streaming?

As for me, the shows I don't miss week in week out are Lost and The Office. I also enjoy this new series on FX called The Riches. I am still reeling from Fox's decision to cancel Arrested Development... that show was ********ing brilliant. As for HBO (after all its not TV) I like The Sopranos (reminds me of were I grew up in New York) and Entourage.

I watch Lost too, but I've kind of given up. They had a massive break of like a couple of months in between some of the newer episodes, so I kind of lost interest.
Anyone watch Scrubs? :) YOUNGSTARS? ;)
I don't bother with Prison Break or Heroes, but apparently they're worth watching.

I usually cant watch a series unless i have the full thing and i'd usually end up spending hours infront of my laptop or TV and zip through it in less than a week. I've already seen lost seasons 1 and 2, Prison Break s1 and was waiting for them to finish so that i can watch the new seasons all in one go. Heroes im actually following episode by episode. I watch a bit of 24 but not that big a fan. My friends have been asking me to watch Greys Anatomy but still didnt get round to borrowing that off my sis. I'm currently aslo downloading Rome season one, i hear thats a pretty good show, and I'm bout to start watching Dexter, il stop by here in a weeks time and tell you how good it is :p

I really don't get what's so amazing about the UFC. From what I've seen, they spent most of the time on the ground. Then the commentators scream something like "OH MY GOD, HE'S GOT HIM IN THE QUARTER-LOCK!!!"
But I guess it's better than wrestling.

My favorite show that I bet most of you would like is the FX show Rescue Me with Denis Leary. Men/boys behaving badly, nudity, fighting, ********ing, cussing, hilarious situations, tragic situations, you name it. They tackle some very un-PC subjects with humor and honesty. Sometimes I can't believe I'm seeing the things they do on my TV.
Then I like the usual, same as a lot of you:
Sopranos
Rome (dooda, this show takes some attention to get into, there is a lot going on, but it's some crazy stuff, lots of violence, sex, drama, humor, all in fabulous togas and sandals.)
Curb Your Enthusiasm (This is what people in hollywood/beverly hills are really like, I swear to god.)
24 - Because Jack saves my city every time. Well, sometimes a nuke goes off in The Valley, but that's okay....:p )
There's things I like about Entourage, but I had to give up watching, it was starting to make me hate men (and I love men.)
Daily Show, Colbert Report
Old cartoons
The Discovery Channel has a great new show called Planet Earth where they use a super-slo-mo camera to capture amazing stuff.
I watch a lot of other sports too, american football, baseball, basketball, golf, Formula 1, tennis, hockey, boxing, and of course.... horse racing. ;)

And recently I finished watching Season 1 & 2 of Lost in 3 weeks:p NOw I'm on season 3, its soo worth it....
If anyone needs any streaming site here you go: Vid2c (http://www.vid2c.com/index.php)
Go to the TV Shows section, they have it all and very good quality as well;)

Hope you can watch it in good quality, the production and sets are really amazing. (And the violence too, oh and the other stuff... :D )
I just looked at the list of things I like to watch and had to laugh. Those are all things I LIKE to watch, but I only seem to have time to watch less than 10% of this. :o
Edit: Maca, My Name is Earl is a riot!

Really enjoyed the first series.
I'd enjoy that show more if I didn't see so many "Earls" in real life here every time I step out in public.
One of the best shows (and there are movies, too) are the Blue Collar Comedy Tour ones. I'm a huge admirer of Ron White's humor.
BTW, Maca, PBS here shows old British comedies. Keeping Up Appearances, Are you Being Served?, Waiting for God (that one cracked me up repeatedly!), ever see them?
