I didn't know where to post this so I created this thread.

For the friendly Argentina - Chile, these are some news about the likely squad that will take to the pitch:

Experienced defenders, quality midfielders and power and pace upfront. I like the balance. Got to see how they gel together.

Damnnnn that's a pretty good squad. I would have Neri Cardozo on there insted of Belluschi who stinking up the league this year. And maybe Ferrari insted of Ibarra. But otherwise it's great.

The way Belluschi and co. have been playing I don't even want to see them on the Argentina bench.

Apparently Basile sees if differently there Max. After todays performance by Carrizo, he should be the starter for the match.

Chile formará con: Miguel Pinto; Boris Rieloff, Sebastián Roco, Miguel Riffo, Arturo Vidal; Gonzalo Fierro, Arturo Sanhueza, Manuel Iturra; Jorga Valdivia; Humberto Suazo y Alexis Sánchez.

Acosta should just let Borgui handle the national team.

A 0-0 snorefest against a weak home based Chilean team. Hopefully this result will convince Basile that apart from a few local players (Ustari, Carrizo, Ibarra and the injured Veron) he needs to build his team around the foreign based players if he expects to have any success in Copa America and las eliminatorias.

Yeah, because our foreign base players did so great in our other recent friendlies. It is just one game and there's a team to build upon. I would have liked to see Lavezzi, and Zarate more, also Ferrari. And Carrizo should be our #1.

Oh I dunno , to me that performance was just so-so even with the line up on show. Basile I think is trying his options, but like coaches in the past this journey was far to long and a base needs to be built soon or face another dissapointment despite the plethora of talent we have.

The foreign based players had not been training together 3 times a week for 6-8 weeks prior to this game like this squad had. This was a very disappointing result and is a clear demonstration to me that these local players are not up to the task. I hope Basile recognizes this now and only uses no more than 4-6 of these local players in the Copa America.
