We'll have to see what happens on thursday night first, I hate away games and were playing a team that is fighting for it's premiership life. :(

But we're fighting for top 5 so it evens out :p . Even after the lost to Scum I still think we can make Wigan sweat. I expect a win here it might be a bit close but man these injuries are killing us.. would it NOT surprise me to see us play Philip Ifil. I don't know much about him but he was on the bench vs divella last Thursday.
Spurs win 3-1 (we score one at the end to make us breath easier)

Ifil was a fantastic prospect a few years ago. Haven't followed him during his various loan spells, but I've been surprised that he hasn't been involved before now. He's a very attack minded full back. Usually plays on the right, so maybe Chimbo will have to play on the left again.

Doom and gloom for every game.. cheer up! It'll be fine. Put the blanket down. Wigan will be fine and Spurs will beat them. This game is the warm up for the semi-final on Sky, sunday 1pm for Spurs.

I actually wouldn't mind Chimbonda on the left for the Diveilla game, he'd shut down Alves. But for this game, I think I'd play Ifil out of position over Chimbonda, that way Ifil could attack more. I don't fear Wigan's wingers as much.

OK since we are now offically out of UEFA we HAVE to put all the balls into leauge play and It starts with us beating the living crap out of wigan. I hope our minds and hearts are set for going for 4th because I think we can do it. I wonder of Salteri can go this Sunday but I still say we win 3-1 but WE HAVE TO WIN. It's not like we can't go on another 5 game winning streak right? :D

Once again I absolutely love Chanman83's attitude! I'm hoping the team has the same attitude, because after our Cup exits we had a hangover effect quite visibly. I just hope we don't have a hangover effect in the Premiership, because we can beat Wigan, should beat Wigan, and need to beat Wigan. Nothing short of 3 points is acceptable.
Arsenal play Bolton, and that result should shape our goals. This is a pivital weekend. Should Bolton lose, we can concentrate on the goal of 5th and it will be within reach. Should Bolton win or tie there's a glimmer of hope for 4th, but even attaining 5th becomes much more difficult.
But, if we win this week and beat Arsenal later ... maybe Chanman83's lofty goal is attainable.

Go Chanman!...I have been thinking the same, but was afraid to voice the thought outloud. I keep looking at the remaining fixtures for all teams, and it seems to set up nicely for a good run. Everton has a really tough schedule, Bolton has three tough games in a row, and I think Arsenal may fold down the stretch.
The Arsenal-Bolton game hurts...there is no result that does not damage us in some way.
All bets are off though if we do not take care of Wigan.

Really? I saw him getting beaten about three or four times against Sevilla. And so often when he tried to make runs forward, he either gave the ball away or got dispossessed.

Yep, it always hurts when the full-back has to cut inside onto his stronger foot. This applies to YPL too, by the way, but at least he can use his left. As can Tainio. Chimbonda should have been on the right yesterday and TT on the left. Why have 2 out of position when you don't have to?

I heartily concur. Although YPL still can't cross with his left. He's not a patch on our other right-footed LB, Tano. Tano was just beautiful, and I love him. Possibly even in a gay way. Disturbing.
We should beat Wigan, because they suck. The players need to gee themselves up for this and get over losing in the UEFA Cup. I'm sure they will.

Whats been the basis for Tottenhams awful away form this season, whats Jol doing wrong away from home, with only three wins, two of them being against bottom eight?

Tano was a right-footed LB, but could use eiher foot. Admittedly, mainly to kick the opposition.

Not having Tano is a blow.

The opposition score more goals than us.
However, until Sevilla, the european games had been very good. Slavia, Besiktas, Leverkusen - all wins without conceding.

I was very disappointed by Chimbonda's poor showing against Diveilla. He clearly couldn't adjust to playing on the left. I was wrong about him shutting down Divey Alvez.

Game being played at breakneck pace so far. 2:2 in the 44th minute.
Spectacular third goal puts the Wiggers 2:1 up. Penalty puts Spurs level.

2:2 at half time but not before the Wigs get a close range header at goal which is parried by Robinson onto the head of another home player who nods over.
