OK, the phoney silence is over. The biggest enemy is complacency and Benitez may just start with Bellamy (rather than Crouch who seems to believe it's all done and dusted). So, who else thinks a few over-confident chaps may be rested?

Kuyt is out and Mark Gonzalez will probably start according to BBC.

Yeah, give Gonzalez some match time. I'd like to see Fowler play some part in the match, m'self.

So, who else thinks a few over-confident chaps may be rested?Bellamy was awful in the first leg, I was so happy to see him pulled off early. Perhaps he's spent some time at remedial offside classes in the mean time. Love his spirit (Yes, he's a tad whiney) but he does go for it.

Direct TV had the fixtures all over the board this morning. I have to work tomorrow so I'll make sure I'm covered by recording everything!!! Especially the hour after broadcast time.......(for the extra time and PKs.) NO, I don't really think so but I've learnt my lesson.
And the masking tape across that stupid running score banner on the bottom.

I don't expect to run into anyone here who would even know or care about the scores.

I'm recording the Valencia/Chel$ki match just to see who we play in the Semi's....he said optimistically...:)

The Semi's. Has a nice ring to it dunnit????

See you in the semis...unless PSV get a 3-0 win and then clinch it on penalties ;)

Do you think Rafa may give Dudek a game? I would like to see Fowler get a goal and I would hope that Gonzo has a good game. I am praying and knocking on wood for no injuries. Did everyone see the other CL games today?

Rafa may consider resting big guns (http://icliverpool.icnetwork.co.uk/0500liverpoolfc/0100news/tm_headline=benitez-may-rest-big-guns%26method=full%26objectid=18884205%26siteid=50061-name_page.html).

RAFA BENITEZ is considering resting his big guns for tomorrow’s visit of PSV Eindhoven.

The Liverpool boss will assess his options after training this afternoon, but he may be tempted to hand more fringe players an opportunity to protect the 3-0 lead.

However, Benitez is also cautious about presuming the tie is over.

“The best idea is to approach the game to win, and then maybe we can look at the situation at half-time and decide whether we can change it.

“I must talk to the players and be sure they realise they must still work hard. We can approach the game with confidence, but I also remember what happened in Istanbul.

“It’s not impossible for a team to win when they’re losing 3-0.

“Of course, in normal circumstances it will be very difficult to do this, but we must be careful and professional.”

Do you think Rafa may give Dudek a game?

I hope to god not. Don't get me wrong, Dudek will always have a special place for that night in Istanbul. But after the Arsenal debacle I don't want him anywhere near the nets in an important match like this. We are NOT through yet, and we can not take a risk like that.

[Just to be clear I don't blame him for the Arsenal games, he just has not played enough competetive matches]

Fair enough. Not that I am considering that he should get a game (and a little off topic), but does anyone know how Daniele Padelli is progressing? I do agree with you about Dudek, I also think he will definitely be gone at the end of the season.

'Shudders' at the thought of playing Dudek after his rusty performances this season.

He'll go down in folklore after last year- no need to risk his reputation this game.

Yeah, um, no. Not a chance in hell. Keep Pepe sharp and keep the sheet clean.

Subs: Zenden, Bellamy, Riise, Gerrard, Dudek.

I think Zenden will either start or get a fair amount of game to sell himself to PSV.

maybe.....who knows?

Hope the events at Old Trafford do not cause our lads to believe they must now go and score an outrageous amount of goals.

Zenden doesn't need to sell himself to PSV. We know him well enough.
