Sunday could be the farewell game for Guille :( In this hours he is putting his head together to accept the move to the MLS. Tomorrow at noon is the deadline.

Guille has asked to be able to be a part of the game against River, Russo apparently has given the go ahead (as a sub). It is the perfect scenario ... a packed Bombonera paying tribute to his years and loyalty to the club.

The latest idol at Boca and his countdown as a Boca player.

Grande Guille!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

He hasn't announced it yet. It is weird as the transfer deadline in the MLS ends today at noon. And he declared today he will talk after the Superclasico.

Macri has offered him 1 more year, but with a salary reduction. MLS offers him twice of what he makes now ... plus his wife is pregnant and having his new son in the US is something that seduces him.

In terms of salary, if he makes now 15, Macri has offerd to renew for 10 ... and the MLS offers him 30. Economically, it is a no-brainer. But one never know with Guille ...

Yes, Sunday the 15th is the actual close of the MLS transfer window which makes sense if Guille wants to finish with the River Plate match. Interesting information there on his wife's situation. Word last week was that the deal was done but paperwork was a hold up. I'm curious as to whether it was visa related for the family. If a confirmation is heard one way or another through the Argentine press it would be much appreciated.

You can be assured that many Crew fans will be tuning in for the Boca/River match this weekend.

That's good that many Crew fans will be tuning in. You'll get a chance to see Ruben run circles around Boca's defense like Higuain did earlier in the year.;)

Dates to visit Guillermo in LA:

Sunday, June 17 vs. Chivas USA

Saturday, June 23 vs. LA Galaxy
http://www.ticketmaster.com/event/09003E69D8559C1B?artistid=805960&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=11

The Chivas USA cheapest tickets are $14, while the Galaxy ones are $10. They go all the way up to $250, though. You can't buy the Chivas tickets yet, but the Galaxy ones are available. Still, it says the cheaper tickets are unavailable. I still doubt they are sold out, though. Probably just not for sale yet. Anyway, I want to find out which tickets are closest to the Columbus bench. :D Too bad it's not like the Coliseum, where you could buy the cheapest tickets and just walk around and sit anywhere in the stadium.

One question: it's in June, but will Beckham be playing for Galaxy by that time? I know he's coming at the end of the Spanish season.. Is that before June 23rd?

Row 10? Here's the map of the stadium:

******** that, I want like row 110.. literally behind the benches. 10 is too far away. (or is the map wrong?)

Edit: Hmm, I checked and with $35 I would get in the red area.. Looks like those are my tickets. :D

If you want to sit behind the Columbus bench, ask for Section 112 or 111. Section 110 will be closer to the home team's bench than the Crew's.

It's unlikely that Beckham will be with the Galaxy for the June 23 game.
He is not expected until mid to late July.

Hmmm ... a Guille fan came out of the closet. :D You can most probably watch him this Sunday ... he'll be on the bench.

PS: Thanx for clarifying the deadline for the transfer window ... the info given in Bs As had it wrong. :-)

Most of the Argentine reports we've been seeing suggest that Boca is planning on either a straight release or a minimal transfer fee to allow Guille out of his contract immediately following the River match. Of course this is all conjecture as we've heard reported.

So if things go as reported Guille would join MLS and the Crew specifically in a week or so. No idea though if he'd start with the club by the end of the month or not.

Nah.. If it were any of the other current Boca players, I wouldn't go.. To tell you the truth, Guillermo has to be the player I've hated most throughout my life. I'll never forget the time he dived and expelled Demichelis, in what would have probably been a historic goleada for River (it was already 2-0 in our favor -playing well too- in like 35 minutes). Or the other time where he dived, causing a penalty for Boca in the last minute of the game (ended up tieing 1-1). And I can't stand his innumerous protests and dives throughout every game he plays. Hopefully he doesn't bring any of that to the pitch on Sunday.
