For the most part, other results have been going favorably for us recently. If our run of form returns to post-Chelsea levels it could be a great season. Where do you think will finish?

Voted 5th or 6th,
7th can still give UEFA cup though if the CL teams go through to the finale.

I voted 5th or 6th, but lumping those two together is misleading, heh. Sure, they mean the same thing in the grand scheme of things ... but I'd say if you split those two choices up they'd be the two leaders by a wide margin. :D
I'm gonna say 6th. My head keeps reminding me that 5th is really between Spurs and Bolton, but that Bolton have a much easier schedule and a slight lead on us. It's theirs to lose really.
Arsenal have been really underperforming, so there's a glimmer of hope for 4th as well, but things would really have to fall right for Spurs to leapfrog both Arsenal and Bolton and nail a CL spot ... just too much outside help needed and near-perfection for Spurs from here on out to make that happen.
I honestly think Spurs have the 6th spot sewn up if we perform to our ability. While it's easy to think last season's long run in the top 4 and sketchy lasagna stealing it away at the last was a better season, I actually think we're doing better this year. Assuming we get at least 6th and an UEFA spot, we'll have done more in my mind. Great cup runs including an impressive European run that's still ongoing.
Integrating so many new players such as Berbatov, Zokora, Chimbonda, Ekotto, Malbranque, and Rocha. Having so many injuries in a season where we've needed to play so many more games. Dealing with losing our linchpin midfielder who anchored both our defense and served as our playmaker. Robinson's poor season. And still one of the Premiership's youngest teams ... even younger than the "young gunners" of Arsenal whom the media consistently plays up. Yet, Jol & co. have overcome a lot and put us in close to the same position as last season ... that's quite an accomplishment.
And next season we should be even better.

5th-6th. It's a little much to ask to get to 4th right now. And I don't see us slipping outsideof 6th, given our schedule and form.

I agree, but you never know with RVP and Henry getting bit by injuries.

True, but we also still have Bolton and Everton between us and Arse. It'll be tough to overcome three teams to get 4th, even though we're all very close on points.

5th or 6th. I have hope the the World will turn right and we will somehow make 4th. But I highly doubt it.

5th or 6th. Please.
5th will match last year plus we played like 20 more games -- attaining some level of consistency within the top 6 is important. Bolton will slip away in a season or two when someone gets smart enough to lure Big Sam away to coach somewhere else (preferably England).

The way we are conceding goals (i mean three against Wigan? come on...) I would take 7th and the UEFA cup next year right now.
We have a game in hand against Portsmouth, and they have a tough finishing schedule, but for some reason I am not as confident as I should be.
Maybe it's just the Monday Morning Blues?

Just trying my best to be optimistic at the time, but 6 days removed from that post I'm not longer in the same mind frame. We'll be lucky to get 6th now w/ Everton winning this week, and 5 points out of 6th. Playing Arse this week doesn't make me very comfortable after Wigan had no trouble scoring on us. Oh well...here's to Chelsea and a UEFA spot for us.

8th, but I won't be calling for Jol's head (yet). Still want him to have another season before final judgement.

Agreed. Sacking Jol will be a bad thing .. He's improved the way u guys play and has made some good transfers too .. I'd give him another year and then sack him if the standings remain the same ..

I don't know if I would want him to remain if we finish 8th. I'm ok with him if we are in the UEFA Cup. If not, it shows a complete failure of a season after last year. IMO, this year was/is vital towards the club being a success or just mediocre as usual.
No Europe would possibly mean no Berbatov.
