Here is the final table of the Serie A goal-scoring race. With these numbers, I don't see how anybody can argue that Vieri is the best striker in Italy right now. When he's healthy.

Vieri 24
Mutu 18
Inzaghi 17
Del Piero 16
Adriano 15
Lopez 15
Totti 14
Hubner 14

PK goals were not tabulated separately in the table I'm looking, but I think I read that Vieri only had 2 PKs all season. Using number of minutes played, Vieri scored an average of one goal every 83 minutes. Second in this stat was Del Piero with a goal every 124 minutes. Vieri had 48% of his shots on target and 30% (!) resulted in goals. Hubner had 54% of his shots on targets and 22% were goals. Claudio Lopez had 61% on target, but only 17% resulted in goals. Mutu took by far the most shots (133 to Adriano's 96) with 54% on target but only 13% resulting in goals.

Interesting stuff ....

I wonder how Shevchenko's numbers would have been without injuries.

How did Baggio do?

Miccoli?

Parma's Adriano is looking like a superstar in the making. Will Inter recall him?

Bonnazzoli's numbers are all with Reggina right?

Cassano's doing the job and maybe if Capella had played him earlier they wouldn't have been so bad. He was great to watch at Giants Stadium as well.

Pirlo's 8 pks are pretty high. I think the next highest total is Del Piero's 6.
