Do you guys know of any good online stores to buy cheap replica jerseys? I've used ebay before, and although sometimes I get great jerseys, some times I get bad ones.

Suggestions?

no help here, you might have to stick with Ebay....I have had about the same luck as you. Sometimes great and sometimes crap.

Just look for sales on different sites. your main ones are www.subside.us.com, www.kitbag.com, www.worldsoccershop.com, www.soccer.com. The former two are always ripe with a few deals, especially Subside. You can find - for example - the Argentina home shirt for $33!

Ebay is your best bet, for example, I bought a tagged authentic Argentina Away shirt for 15 gbp last night.

There is a mix of authentic and fake jerseys on ebay, but it is usually quite simple to spot the fakes. As I do, before you bid just send the seller a message asking if the shirt is authentic.

Always try to go for authentic jerseys. If you buy a fake jersey it usually not very good quality, it won't increase in value like a collector's item, and you are effectively supporting people who are cheating your team out of money.

Most of the 'fake' shirts on eBAY tend to come from the Thailand so just be careful if you are looking at a shirt from an asian seller. I'm not saying ALL of them are fake. But the majority are. Plus if you are getting it for some really silly price you know that more than likely its not the real deal.

subside is recommended by me too. but you'll get screwed on shipping.

look around on ebay and you'll find some authentic jerseys. onionbag have been selling stuff for cheap on ebay. their username is onionbagsoccershop i think. they're trying to clear out their inventory for the new stuff. they've been selling brand new shirts starting at 24.99.

I have em and they had all the tags on, patches on sleeves and what not. If they are fake, its not enough to bother me, and hard to tell. I don't see any defects or markings that aren't the real deal.
Sorry for bothering to try and help.

The guy just asked for a place to buy authentic shirts and you just gave him a link to an ebay shop that sells fake shirts. I obviously had to point it out otherwise he'll end up with the same problem. We appreciate you trying to help tthough, sorry if I hurt your fweelings.

GO SOX!! But I digress.... I gather "replica" means Asian knockoffs, right? What's "authentic"? Is the Adidas, Umbro, Nike stuff available at the store here "authentic" as y'all use the term? Or are those products also termed "replica"?

Seems like, if it's made by the same manufacturer, it's "authentic" even if not actually worn by a player. I'm assuming a player could wear such a shirt on the pitch, however.....

There is confusion about 'replica' and 'authentic'

when talking about soccer jerseys, replica means cheaper version of 'authentic' jersey which are provided to players. If you think Zidane wore FFF jersey that only costs $65 retail, then you should think twice. :D

Of course, all the Nike jerseys I had bought had mark of "AUTHENTIC" on the tags, but they were all replica.

I do see where you're coming from, I, too, thought replica meant fake.

How are they fake? I bought a Mexico jersey from a Thai dealer and the only jerseys I've ever found on eBay when searching for specific players are from Thailand. I was under the impression that the factories are in Thailand.

How are they fake?

They are fake in that they are not actually a Nike or Adidas product. They may look similar, but the materials used are different, and the stitching is probably bad quality. When I first went onto ebay I was conned into buying a fake shirt - I could have actually reported the seller, but I had left myself vulnerable because I paid for the item through paypal through email, not through ebay.

Companies like Nike actually go around the world, go to factories, see if it can meet requirements, and then it gives the factory products to make, with certain set amterials and standards.

Most of the shirts on ebay are fake, especially the new ones, but some are most certainly real...you just have to know what you are looking for. I bought the new Arsenal home shirt for 11gbp, and that was real.

yea, i've bought shirts from thailand before. i was in college and didn't have much money so i thought, why not?

basically, they're fake because they're knockoffs. like knockoff purses, watches, etc. they're getting better and better and looking more and more like the real deal. but you'll notice differences in color, stitching, the crests might be a little off. for example, i bought a fake beckham shirt, and i was comparing it to a real one i bought later on. the lions on the crest were bigger and bolder on the fake jersey. and the "ENGLAND" print on the crest was smaller and thinner.

but you can find some real shirts on ebay too. you just have to look around.

You can definitely find real shirts, but it is a case of looking in the right places. I'm not sure if you are implying the "fake" shirts from Thailand are factory seconds, but that's not possible - for example "factory second" Nike shirts produced in Thailand are definitely fake as Nike's jerseys are made in Portugal.

I'm sure that if anyone wants an opinion as to whether or not a shirt is fake they will ask here. But for me personally I want to know my money is going to my team as opposed to some random person who is nothing to do with the club I support. Buying fake shirts does not support your club.

And the offending links have been removed.

I've gotten good and bad from Ebay. Although some do come out of Thailand, I figure, if I can't tell there fake, and the qualities different, I don't mind.

But thanks for the help guys.
