C2007 Game 14: Universidad vs. Club America

Giving up late equalizers the last two weeks has been very troubling. A win would be a fine tonic, but a very tough America team comes to CU at high noon on Sunday. I haven't watched much of america this year, but I am keen to see the youngsters they've got, mainly to see if they can serve a higher purpose. It should be a good one

UNAM needs at least 8 points to get at least into a repechaje. A win isn't completely urgent, but it would sure be nice.

from the little I have seen of America this season they look awesome with Blanco, and very very ordinary to poor without him.... oh well, I am trying to fight a good feeling about this one rising in me, makes the disappointment all the worse.... everything on my holiday that can go wrong, has gone wrong so far..... ho hum.... Bernal back? Ailton back? Parejita defintely out, which is a big pain... I heard second yellow was a joke, is that true?

Thanks PPT, it really was a clear penalty... but the ref had a decnet game overall, and wanted to let the game flow... but it was glaring error, and again affected the result...

we obviously should have won this won.. but again didn't ....

certianly the last FIVE of those draws we should have won.... frustrating....

We played a more daring game than we usually do. Jehu owns that starting left mid spot. Paco was more loose out there. He and Scocco created a ton of space which unfortunately didnt convert into a goal. However I noticed we lacked in the defensive department. Particularly Sideshow Bob, who has been great overall this season, just noobed it up with Cuauh. That and a few other defensive blunders gave the wilas some openings and if Cabanas wasnt such a shit striker he would have certainly finished. We were obviously robbed of the penalty but that seems to be the norm. What are our chances of qualifying now?
