View Full Version : Who is the second weakest link?

There seems to be so many Spurs fans that don't fancy the weak, slow, and poor left back, and think he should be upgraded.
They say that he's the weakest link.
While I don't accept the opinion that Lee is the weakest link, I don't want to be banned for defending Lee here.
Assuming they are right, since they gave so many reasons that are not debatable on this forum, who is the next weakest link?
And what is a viable alternative for the weakest link?
(I think it's a given that this thread will probably be closed for "trolling". Anybody who even asks this sort of question couldn't possibly be a Spurs fan, could they? I mean the only one that could be called a weak link has to be the Korean, right?)

Well you didn't include the first 11 only, so I don't know how effective this poll could be. BTW you clearly are no Spurs fan as you claim to be in this post, as evidenced by your troll-like swipes at our team in the fanboy thread.
So basically: Flawed poll with flawed logic. For the record I voted Gardner, but seeing though he is a noft used sub what's the point of including him?
PS I also think Keane should play ahead of Defoe because he is white and Gardner cops flack because he is black. We also love to give it to Lee because he is of Asian desent. [sarcasm]

You are truly pathetic to start this thread, you seem too clever to be genuinely mentally disabled so perhaps you just have a flawed personality. Bullied at school? parents don't love you? The need to cause friction on the internet must be replacing some sort of attention you don't get elsewhere. Maybe you have a small penis. Anyway, that's none of my business.. right? I'll assume it's all three and laugh at you for posting this thread plus all your other misguided opinions this evening.
As for the 2nd weakest link, it is either in whoever replaces King in defence. Sometimes it's Gardner and he's ok but switches off at crucial times, sometimes it's Rocha and he's new so we can give a bit of benefit of the doubt for that but occasionally he is dodgy, and tonight it was Chimbonda - a right back. So, King needs to come back to make the defence stronger.
Or it's the left side of midfield, it's a bit like round peg->square hole at the moment. No one has really commanded the position. Perhaps even Lennon could be considered a weak link when he's not on his game, he becomes a passenger that is easily nullified by the opposition. He is a big threat but only when he can beat his man, if not then he becomes a bit of a luxury.
Apart from that, the team has been gelling nicely. When everyone is back and settled they will be a very strong unit. 6th in the league now, should be aiming for 5th and higher next year. Maybe even this year.

Its just so ironic to me that an English club with Jewish roots can harbor so many message board Nazis.
I may not agree with everything CG has to say but I certainly think its his right to express them withouth the lot of you going off on him like he just ate the serving of mazza balls.
I mean that is what these boards are for, right?
I mean...how old are some of you kids?.... "Blah....Close this thread!"
Downright laughable.

Shut the feck up you little kunt. I was one of the few who recognized that Lee has been improving this season. Thanks to your idiotic ass, I now hate him with a passion. Hope he gets his leg broken in training, or even better, that someone pushes him off the plane on the flight home from Spain.
Jesus Holy Christ...would you get a hold of yourself man? :D

Why do you, and the other guy, feel the need to copy and paste a post from another thread into this one?
You are both being pathetic, stop it.

It looks like Spur_Forever almost got his wish. Lee was reportedly injured with about 10 minutes left to play. Spur_Forever must be absolutely ecstatic! But maybe his rejoicing would be premature given the fact that Lee will probably make it back to the lineup.
I really appreciate his insightful posts though. After all, he was so perceptive that he "recognized" Lee's improvement!
Most Spurs fans wouldn't agree, however, I'm sure.
Well, anyway, my vote goes to Gardner. Who else?

For the love of god... could we actually get some active moderation in this forum?
It is unbelievable the level of trolling that is allowed to continue in here, anything like this in another club's forum and it would be red cards and deleted posts straight away.

We'll be perfectly fine whether Lee stays or goes after this season, and when the time comes to replace him, it will be an upgrade. So cry more tears little fanboy, we're bigger than anything in Korean football.
We're on the up and you've got nothing
I guess your sarcastic comments aren't far off the mark.

Was Chimbonda worse than Dawson?
Sure, he did have that shove in the box that wasn't called. But try telling that to Spurs fans who feel that they've been hosed by the ref.

Sorry....I think its like we're just rubber-necking a car accident.
In this case though its a grown man throwing a temper tantrum that would make a 5 year old jealous.

While your fanboi status is clearly confirmed by the tone of the original post, I'll just make one suggestion to your poll. When we're talking about the weakest link, we're talking about starting spots, so while I can understand your rationale for posting more than 11 possibilities (or 10 if you exclude Lee and assume he's a starter), I think this poll would be more effective if you limited it to first choice starters. There is room to disagree, but I think Jol has shown these people to be his first choice starters when everyone is healthy and rested:
---------------------------------Robinson----------------------------
Chimbonda---------Dawson-------------------King----------Lee/Ekotto
Lennon--------------Jenas---------Zokora/Huddlestone-----Malbranque
-----------------------Berbatov----------------Keane-----------------
I think the viable options for the starting 11 are A) either Zokora or Huddlestone depending upon how you read Jol's decisions, and B) Lee or Ekotto. Personally, I think Jol's starting 11 includes Zokora and Lee.
Putting in clear subs like Gardner etc. only clouds the question. I think you want to pinpoint the person that this board feels is the weakest link, and then compare Lee to that person ... so you'd be best served limiting your poll to starters.
Personally, you've shown yourself to be extremely biased and clearly not a Spurs fan, so I'm not voting in your poll.
