Yup - I just looked it up. I was wrong. It's been ages since I took Latin and thought that the "c" was pronounced as a "ch" if there was an "i" or "e" after it.

Whilst we're having Latin pissing contest :p I took it at school and then did a masters degree in Classics and Ancient History.

That is how it is pronounced. :p
