I'm sorry but Thommo takes the cake --- the look brings me back to my youth.

I seem to remember Diomede having a pretty bad James Brown style "straightened out Afro", no??

[walks off beaten path]

Danny Murphy's fiancee...Wooo!

Excuse me while I go for a brisk walk in the sub zero wind-chilled weather.

Yeah, but she's a right pain in the arse. I used to work with her when she was on Hollyoaks.

Semmy is a quality defender. Isn't it just foolish to loan defensive help to a side you're going to be facing this coming weekend?

Or am I overreacting here?

With Finnan and Carragher back he's not as likely to get another shot soon. Besides, there could've been a stipulation in the deal that he can't play for them this weekend, similar to the deal Charlton made with Chelsea in the deal for Scott Parker.

Thanks; hope you're right about that.

Oh, well. It's not the case. From today's Daily Post:

Otsemobor has an immediate chance to prove a point when the teams meet at the Reebok this weekend. His contract does not contain a clause preventing him facing his boyhood club and Allardyce, impressed by the defender's full debut against Bolton in the Carling Cup, is delighted with his fifth free signing of the month.

Saw the same news on the official site:

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N143671040203-1357.htm

but I posted it on the Otsemobor thread.

Makes no sense to me; we're not that deep in the back, and based on form, having Biscan and Riise as cover (or even Diao, when he comes back)isn't very comforting.

But you have forgotten about LFC's rampaging outside backs from a few games back:

Djimi Traore out left and Stephane Henchoz on the right.

Finnan
Carragher
Traore
Riise
Henchoz

We have so much depth at outside back that we should start playing with three of them!

RIP Geoff Twentyman (1930 - 2004)

For the uninitiated, Geoff was a player with us in the Fifties but is mainly remember as chief scout under Shanks and Sir Bob. So spare a moment for the man that brought us nearly all our biggest stars during the glorious 70'2 and 80's.

But esepcially, give thanks to Geoff for Kevin Keegan, Alan Hansen and Ian Rush, all of whom he was personally responsible for spotting and bringing to the club.

The new site look'n'feel has been launched on the official club website. You may remember that last summer I was asked to be part of a forum of users that gave their imput into it's design.

I still don't like the one the group voted for. Democracy sucks. ;)

But it's a heck of a lot better than the old one.
