Anyone travelling to this ?

I am thinking about USA vs. Brazil on 21 June... and perhaps catching the final at the Stade de France (29 June) too.

I was wondering why Mexico is not playing in the Confederation Cup. They did a great job in the past.

Yes, they won in 1999, no ?

This article details the selection process:

Quote from the site:
The champions of the six confederations - France (UEFA and defending champions), Colombia (CONMEBOL), Cameroon (CAF), USA (CONCACAF), Japan (AFC) and New Zealand (OFC) - will compete alongside world champions Brazil and Turkey. The country, which finished third at the 2002 FIFA World Cup Korea/Japan™, have been invited as the other European representative as France also qualify as hosts.

There are a number of U.S. supporters making the trip over. Take a look at the following thread for details:

Mexico is not playing because:

a. They're not the current champion of their confederation (CONCACAFG.) The United States is.

b. They were invited.
