I'm suprised there isn't a thread on this yet.

I don't go to movies, so I'll wait until this comes out on Netflix so I can copy it.

Anyone seen it yet? The reviews I've read on it have been pretty good.

It looks as bad as Anchorman and Talladega Nights.

Why the hate for Anchorman?

Because it was a terrible, terrible movie. I still can't fathom how people thought it was great.

300 has been out for almost a month now, it's no surprise.

I don't get it either. I absolutely hated Anchorman.

I just don't get what people see in him. He is not funny. Stupid movies. The only good thing in Ron "Jeremy" Anchorman was Christina Applegate.

Maggs and I saw it over the weekend.

Meh.

It had one or two moments but it was not nearly as funny as I hoped it would be.

Mostly, meh.

very creative use of images

I thought Anchorman had some funny parts in it. It's not great or anything, but I mean what does someone expect when they watch a movie like that?

back to the subject of Blades of GLory, how was it -for those who have seen it?

I think of Anchorman and Talladega Nights as more a collection of one-liners set to moving images than an actual movie. They're fantastic once you lower your expectations, but unwatchable if you're not into goofiness.

That said, Blades of Glory looks like more of the same from Ferrell, which does get tiring, and I'd expected more from Apatow on Talladega, considering his past work.

I'm in a glass cage of emotion

Anchorman was awesome. I didn't even know Ferrell had a new movie out though.

Sixty percent of the time, it works every time.

Lots of yuks in the first half of the movie, probably more than Anchorman, for that matter, which was a similar film.

If you've already decided Will Farrell isn't funny, you probably won't like it, but enough people do for them to keep making these movies. I know that might upset some of you, but your ire should be directed at eddie Murphy fat-suit/Jerry Lewis remake movies, which really are a blight on the film industry...

I could be wrong, but I believe diversity is an old, old wooden ship that was used during the Civil War era.

I'm not anti-Ferrell. I just hated those two movies. I loved him in Stranger Than Fiction and thought he was good in other ones as well.
