Did anyone catch this episode? I thought it was pretty good. Freeman looks like she'll make a good companion for the doctor.

Did anyone else notice his reference to a brother? Could it be setting up something in the future?

--Uh, has it started up on SciFi again already or was it just a torrent from the UK?

Torrent. Watched it yesterday. Good stuff -- although Martha seems to be a lot like Rose. The Doctor in this latest series really seems to like picking the ladies who don't freak out when weird things are going on around them as companions.

They're going to be on SciFi sooner than the previous seasons -- i.e. with a shorter gap between the UK broadcast and the US than the previous seasons -- it will be on SciFi this summer. There was about a year between the debut of the first season on the BBC and on SciFi, and then about six months between the second season debut on the BBC and SciFi, and they're down to about three months for the third season.

So if you can hold out, you won't have to hold out for as long as before.

It's not currently on SciFi's schedule but they have said that the third season will start airing this summer -- according to the accepted astronomical definition, that means sometime between June 21 and September 21. ;)

If you're looking for earlier seasons, BBC America ran the first season (Christopher Eccleston) recently but I think they're not currently showing it. Some PBS stations have picked up the Christopher Eccleston episodes and are starting to show them -- my local PBS station (KTEH 54 San Jose) is starting them next Tuesday, April 10.

There's this nerdy guy who runs a Yahoo Group "thisweekindoctorwho" where he keeps track of which stations are broadcasting which episodes. You can see it here (http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/thisweekindoctorwho/) although you may need to join the group to look at the latest messages which have the details.

Good start, liking the new companion as well.

If you guys can, I'd recommend getting the torrents. When I saw a few eps on BBC America, they had cuts for commercials.

Haven't had to watch the torrent yet. I heard that it wasn't going to start in the US until late in the year, but maybe that has changed. I know that Torchwood won't start in the UK until fall, but don't know if they will even show it in the US.

Can't wait to watch, probably later in the week.

I like how the Doctor is still hung up on Rose, something you really see in this past Christmas special.

I caved..... and just got done watching 3 of the 4 new one's...on a site that has them posted.

Took awhile for me to used to the Doc's new travel mate Martha, but she is giving off a Sarah Jane Smith vibe which I like.

**Sarah was always excited to see where the Doc was going to take her next and took it as a fun vacation travel of sorts.

I think Flash Gordon is supposed to debut in July, so they'll probably pair them up together.

Later,

The best episode I have seen on season 3, is "The Lazarus Experiment".
Martha is hot.

Season 3 has been pretty good. I can't wait to catch finale this weekend. The last two have been really good, I just having to wait for the continuation.

I really liked the Blink episode - freaky and good.

I wonder when they are going to start Torchwood up again.

Quick season review: SPOILERS AHOY! I'll put the whole thing in result-tags so nobody gets spoiled. This season starts July 6 on Sci-Fi in the US!

Some of the early season sucked, "Daleks in Manhattan" especially. Hopefully they'll put the Daleks on ice for a while.

The "Human Nature" two parter was excellent.

"Blink" scared the crap out of me. It gave me nightmares. Very well done episode.

The last two episodes have been brilliant, and the season finale should be good as well. This show has done its season finales so well and this season is no exception. The Master is one of my favorite bad guys of all time -- especially the Roger Delgado master from the early 1970s, he was suave, sophisticated, and so evil. The Anthony Ainley master from the 80s was less good -- there were some good stories where he was menacing, and then there were some crappy stories where he was practically twirling his mustache while chewing on the scenery. But this new guy is fun to watch -- very upbeat for a bad guy. I like him and want to see more -- just don't run him into the ground like the Daleks, please.

Finally caught up with the season finale. Great ending to what was sort of an up and down season.

I've seen reviews for the Sci-Fi showing of this season in several places. Seems like the show is enjoying a bit of popularity here at the moment.

I enjoyed the first episode and I think I'll like the new companion but I was still sad everytime they brought up Rose.
