Just figured it would be fun to have what we're listening to. I'll start off with my two most recent purchases

Goldfrapp - Supernature

Death From Above 1979 - You're a Woman, I'm a Machine
I've been meaning to pick up both for a while and Supernature is what I listen to when I need to relax, DFA 1979 is what I listen to to get ****ing PUMPED!!!! Some of their stuff is a bit screamo-ish, but they have some INCREDIBLE songs on their, I mean modern classics.

I'm currently listening to Type O Negative's new one 'Dead Again'. Back to classic Type O, I love it.

Ooo... I didn't know there was new Type O. I will have to check that out.
Lately I've been listening to a lot of ridiculous smart playlists on iTunes. Mostly combing two very different artists. Slayer and They Be Giants, Turbonegro and Misfits (not really that different), and my fav Beach Boys and Danzig. It makes work a lot easier.

The American Idol site has 99 cent perfomance downloads. I jumped on that and invested $239 in classic idol moments.

Seriously, I'm listening to a ton of bootlegs I got from my friend in Oregon. I've got some good Black Flag, Supertramp, and Public Enemy circa 1988.

While we're on the topic of punk, Feeling B, a German punk band are incredible. Haven't been able to find any of their records ANYWHERE, but I have found a few songs, all of which are amazing. I even asked our dear old Seamus, and even he didn't know who they were:eek:
EDIT: Hearing "Here Comes Your Man" Live by the Pixies on WERS on the way home has compelled me to start making room on my iPod for a few of their songs :)
EDIT: Still on the subject of punk, The Best of the Addicts makes me want to fight and or drink....or both

I've been on an unusually mellow kick lately. Bob Marley, Franz Ferdinand, a little bit of Snow Patrol. Some old school van halen and a little bit of dick dale to round it out.
I'm in one of my bored with music phases right now. nothing is grabbing my attention
btw, castigador- have you heard Brian Wilson's Smile that came out about 2 years ago (all sort of f*d up unreleased wierd crap... it's pretty cool).
Right now I have under the influence of giants stuck in my head:mad:
My wife really digs them:( (although she loves the beegees so UtIoG is right up her alley

******** yeah! I also have some bootlegs of him, but I didn't think most of yous would know who he was. My friend in Oregon actully recored it himself around 2000. They had to pull the plug on that crazy old fart because of liquor laws.
What would Freud say about my favorite surf rocker and sci fi writer having dick in their names?

There's some great music coming out of London again. I was worried for about six years there. Nothing but sap.

Freud's stance on surf rock is pretty well documented.

There are plenty of good bands out right now. Lily Allen, TV On The Radio, Muse, Placebo, I could keep going on but I don't want to make an infinite list. Look at my MySpace for some recommendations, or you could always just ask if you're looking for a specific sound as I listen to pretty much anything and everything that I can get my hands on.

Great record I must say:rolleyes:
Threw a Fehlfarben song on the MySpace, been in a really punk mood as of late, mostly into the alternative scene but past few days I've been paying homage to the 80's in a big way:p And yes, that does mean I'm wearing a shirt with no collar, some neon green legwarmers and a head band:D

Ha. If I sort mine by playcount it's Tone Loc with 208. Next only has 38. That's what happens when I play it on a loop for a few hours.
