Hi guys,
I know I've not posted for a while but it's been really hectic. I just thought I'd let you know that after a trip into China last week (and 6 months of wear trialling), Packer Leather is now the chosen supplier of kangaroo for Puma and Umbro for the future. It'll take a few months for our leather to come fully online in their models, but boy were were pleased at the way we smashed their existing roo suppliers.
So all in all now the only people we don't supply are Hummel :p . The rest of the brands are supplied by us :D .
Also I know Nomis has something very new coming in the next few months........ you guys will drool..... trust me  We are just running the first batch for them now, so I can't say anymore, but I think you'll see them in the next few months.
Cheers,
Dr Leather

Dr. Leather, good news and I am glad to hear that you and your company are locking it up. Your input on this board is valued and thank you for your previous contributions.
Just curious, do you supply Mizuno and Asics as well or do they go through someone else being based in Japan and really only catering on a large scale to that market?

I can't see Puma's leather improving.
It's always butter soft.

Hi guys,
Yep we supply Mizuno and Asics..... our Japanese agent is the middle man for them. Mizuno use an ultra lightweight leather in conjunction with a special shoe making process that is pretty clever.
Interesting comment on Puma's existing leather. From our testing over the last few months it has shown huge variation in properties. This is the main reason for them changing, and the fact that the shoe factories have had to make some big claims on the previous K-Leather supplier.
All the best,
Dr Leather

Dr Leather what exactly does your company do. Do you just provide the leather treatment to the company and send it off to their manufacturing plant for production to begin?

I think they send leather that is then treated...how the company likes.

No we are the worlds largest kangaroo leather tannery. We collect all of the skins from the meat works, tan, dye and finish (coat ) the leather before despatch for immediate upper cutting by the shoe factories. Our website is here: www.packerleather.com if any of you want to see more.
No shoe factories really re-treat the leather, with the exception of some who either do laser etching or screen printing to their design.
Hope this helps. Thanks,
Dr Leather

True.
The leather on the Kings is nothing compared to the leather on the Cellerator Zero_4 K's.
