Paco will be back, fresh from his first minute goal against Ecuador, Gonzalez will be suspended for this match.

Ailton was on the bench v Atlante, I was surprised not to see him come on, I guess he'll start on the bench v Tecos as well, but I am sure he will come on.

Getting very down about the season so far, but actually it mirrors quite closely what happened last season, which finished well - we got 12 points in the last 5 games - that would be great if we can do that again this time....

Apertura 2006 - Pld 12, won 4, drawn 5, lost 3, GF 12 GA 9 Pts 17
Clausura 2007 - Pld 12, won 3, drawm 7, lost 2, GF 13 GA 11 Pts 16

And of the four games just played, last time we got 3 points, this time 4, a draw against each, last time we drew against each, except Atlante against whom we lost.

So to be optimistic, its all more or less there, just needs to start "clicking", as it did in the run-in last time.....

I am off to Peru in the small hours, planning to get cab from airport straight to a bar which shows a lot of footy, but will probably still only see second half.

Santos got a point today - that means they are 12 points behind us, and can get a maximum of 12 points, so even a draw tomorrow puts us finally 100% mathematically safe from relegation, if my figures are correct.

Post info about the game, please, as I ma ynot see any of it.... cheers

The biannual facing of my teams. And officially one of the two will be saved from relegation tomorrow. And if they tie both are saved. Yeah!!!

Paco doesn't waste any time! A header at 2' off a pass from Parejita.

Pumas 1-0.

2-2 and both of my teams are saved. So now that UNAM gets thru relegation maybe Tuca can put that thing back and try to get to the liguilla. By the way the result is awful for UNAM as not only whey they winning 2-0 but they were totally dominating and were playing maybe their best half of the season. Of course in the 2nd half they got scored on and the team went to hell. Also Parejita got red carded and will miss the America game. Typical UNAM game this year.

UNAM's defense, which was so good in the previous tourney, has been their achilles heel in the last few games. Giving up tying goals beyond 80 minutes of play is completely inexcusable. And you said last week, it will cost them a spot in the post-season.

At least we don't have the specter of relegation hanging over the team anymore. America is next. Prepare for the trolling.

Damn it. Awesome first half in which we could have scored well over the 2 goals that we did. Shit second half where everything went downhill.

Oh well. Bring on the wilas

as you say.. far far to many of these late equalisers this season, make me sick sick sick... couldn't see the game, as in Peru, but as this holiday has turned bad, i hope I can see the match tomorrow against the gallinas... I did manage just to get to see Cienciano beat Boca Juniors 3-0 here in Cusco, and as I was sat at pitch level, it allowed me to give Marioni a lot of abuse...

seen the goals on youtube, so annoying so annoying.... is bernal back for Sunday?
