It's great to see Canas beat the best player in the world twice in a couple of weeks, in two of the super nine master tournaments that Federer won last year. This is a guy that hardly ever loses and now Canas is 3-1 career against him.

In the process Canas saved the record of Guillermo Vilas (of 46 consecutive wins, I believe, Federer had 41 when he lost to Canas).

This is fantastic, for our tennis. Especially considering all the troubles Canas had, all the injuries and the unjust (according to him) suspension. It is great to see him come back this way.

Grande Canas!!!

Fue un torneo inolvidable para el argentino que desde la clasificación llegó a la final. Ayer, Djokovic jugó mejor y Cañas tuvo problemas físicos que le restaron chances.

I watched a part of the final. He played well even though he lost. Hopefully he'll do well at the French, on the clay. But he can play well on hard courts, like Nalbadian. He's in better shape than Nalbadian, and is more of a fighter. But Nalbadian has the stronger game.
