Well lets hope we don't get any injuries during midweek, anyways Reading score quite a lot of goals, and our defence is rubbish at the moment, so we'll need to score quite a fair few in this game mabey. I just so wish Ledley King was back. :(

I think we all wish King were back, but we're at home and in great form (at least up top), so I think we'll come away with a 3-1 win. A late goal will give us the cushion after a gut-wrenching second half!

I've been saying since pre-season that Reading are a good attacking side. But at the moment, our attack is on fire! I'm expecting a 3-1 win for Spurs. It's one of those pivital games that we need to win if we want to secure a top 6 finish. I'm calling goals by Keane, Jenas and Malbranque.

-DigitalYes Reading are a place below us so a win against this is very important in our top 6 ambitions.

Big game. I'm confident, although our best players are playing a lot of games at the moment. I'm going for a 2-1 win.

Defoe is due a goal.

a win here could set us on pace for a great finish to the season. keane is suspended from the ireland game today so hopefully he'll be rested and in goal scoring mode come sunday! COYS!

Real 6-pointer for us. There are a bunch of clubs right behind us waiting for a little stumble. We need to take this game very seriously and if we do so, we can win. Reading are a good side on their day, but if we play the best we can, we should win.

Our last 2 games were not so good. Against Watford, we were not that great (despite the scoreline); while against Chelsea in the cup replay, we were ok, but not as clinical as we had previously been. Hopefully this was just a little blip and we can resume normal service against Reading.

They'll attack quite a bit, which is good for us, as we generally do well against teams that play open football. And our form has been excellent at the lane, so I say 3-1 to the Super Spurs.

We've had a break just as we were starting to lose a bit of our sharpness, so hopefully it's a benefit.

King might be back, just wait and see. He's not far away.

This game is also on sky sports 1 at 3:30pm.

Well, no King but the stories in the Sun are wide of the mark apparently. They say he's out for the season and Spurs are looking at investing in a 19yr old defender from Leyton Orient.

I think Reading's best chance will be if Spurs think it will be an easy game again, like in November. Martin Jol's comment of "We shouldn't be losing to teams like Reading" sounded like he thought victory would more or less a foregone conclusion.

apparently the comment was pinned up on the dressing room wall for a few weeks afterwards.

Man for man Spurs clearly are better, and we seem to lack a little confidence away to the better teams, but an England-esque attitude of wanting an easy win without doing the hard work to get one could see you come unstuck. Other than that I'm hoping we're inspired by events of exactly one year ago, when we actually won the title on April 1st, with 6 games to spare.

It'll seem odd going back to WHL. I haven't been there for nearly 20 years. You could still stand on the shelf for £4 and pay on the day even when 45,000 were expected.

Here's the official team news from the Tottenham Hotspur Propaganda Ministry:

Teemu Tainio and Hossam Ghaly will be absent for the visit of Reading to the Lane on Sunday.

Longer-term absentees Ledley King, Benoit Assou-Ekotto, Anthony Gardner and Danny Murphy remain unavailable, but Mido could be in contention for a return.

"Teemu Tainio has a calf strain and I am not hopeful over him for the weekend, while Mido has a slight calf strain and could be back for the game," reported Martin Jol.

"Ledley King will be out, but he is increasing his running and is doing a lot of ball work now.

"Benoit Assou-Ekotto will need another four weeks and we are hopeful of having Anthony Gardner back in three or four weeks. Danny Murphy has started running after his Achilles problem and will probably be out for another week.

"Hossam Ghaly has got flu and won't be involved."

I hope we play the strongest possible team against Seville and rest as many as we can against Chelsea. After beating Chelsea at the Lane and then outplaying Chelsea at the Bridge and having so many games against them this year, I think we're due for a blowout ... of us. :( I don't mind dropping points at Stamford Bridge, but we need to take maximum points in our other games, so I'm for giving our beleagured starters a rest against Chelsea.

Seville is winnable, and at the very least we can come out with an away goal or two scored to make the home leg winnable. Even with our best team, we have less than a 50% chance against a full strength Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Strongest team vs. Reading and Seville, then rest as many as we can against Chelsea, they'll need it.

Sadly, I agree. Of course we would all rather a 100% fully fit strongest side in all 3 games but that's not realistic or practical. Out of the three games the one to be sacrificed has to be the Chelsea game.

I'd be lovely to go up a couple of goals quickly aganst Reading, so we could pull out some of our big guns...

I love it. So many tottenham games on FSC. I mean Im spoiled and along with the cup match on there too im happy. Ya were going to bounce back from that lose we had against chelesa and win this one 2-0. Big win for us. I think and am hoping that robbo can keep a clean sheet.
