Steve's custom scarf machine really speaks to my vanity. I'm a big fan.

I think Philadelphia (clap 5x) was really good. Philadelphia (Wild Rover) was good. O Philadelphia. Donnie's Army. Dale Oh all get passing marks.
We never did YNWA or Ben Folds' Dale Oh

nor did we do 'call upon us' (as nobody really knows it) ... 'donnie's army' and 'tony donatelli' only work for the kixx games. but being the next official SoB outing is to a kixx game, then by all means ...

Just remember to check the goal totals before printing out "Tony Donatelli" on the 14th...

I don't know what words to replace but I think the Flyers win song would make a good song to sing with slightly different lyrics.
With a bit of tweeking I think it could make a good soccer song.

Wake up Philadelphia
And let me hear ya sing
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
Across the blue line we attack
We are
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
Re-load and shoot again
We are
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
And a 1-2-3
Let the hats go flying
For a Flyers victory
And a 4-5-6
Our bold batallion
May they take us all the way
Wake up Philadelphia
Down my family it was passed
We are
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
Lyrics
Kick the boards and pound the glass
We are
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
And a 1-2-3

I dig that song but I'm not nearly creative enough to change it.

Kick the boards and pound the glass
We are
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
And a 1-2-3
Let the hats go flying
For a [insert team name] victory
And a 4-5-6
Our bold batallion
May they take us all the way
Wake up Philadelphia
And let me hear ya sing
The Orange and the Black
The Orange and the Black
And replace the orange and the black with whatever nickname we give the team.
Maybe change Kick the boards and pound the glass to Light the flares and throw the ????

I like the idea of creating a "Join, or Die" song. Something like:
Stand with Philly
Where you belong
Stand with the Sons
And stand strong
Stand among us
or fear us as we cry,
Join, or Die!
Join, or Die!
Join! Or! Die!
Join, or Die!
Join, or Die!
Join! Or! Die!
Just something off the top of my head... There's more poetic people here, I'm sure.

Very familar...however I feel weird using a NE bands songs just like I can't get myself to post a Bouncing Souls song since they from Jersey.
Maybe someone could write to The Boils see if they could help us out and make a SoB song if they into soccer.

The thing is with DKM they are a blue collar band and we are a blue collar city that was the connection I was looking for. But I do see your point and the Souls are a north Jersey band so they are definitely out. Too bad though Ole is a cool song.

I feel like we have enough talented musicans in the area that count as blue collar that we could find one or two of them to either write a songe for us or we could co-op some of their songs.

I suggest The Bare Knuckle Boxers (http://www.myspace.com/thebareknuckleboxers) - an Irish Rock band out of the Suburbs of Philadelphia. They have been together just over 3 years now and have played many venues and pubs throughout the PA area musically related to bands such as Shane McGowan and The Pogues, The Saw Doctors, and the Wolfetones. They play Traditional Irish songs with our own twist of American Rock

Cesc Fabregas!
He's only 19!
Woah!
He's better than Roy Keane!
Woah!
Or the variation
Fabregas whoa oh,
Fabregas whoa oh,
he's only seventeen
he's better than Roy Keane.
