a standout Goalkeeper thats what they've been lacking. They have the coach the defence the midfield and everyone knows they have the top forwards in the world so its got to be the goalkeeping.

No, we still need the midfield to have more creativity, we need players that can anticipate and create, conjur plays when nothing is there, we don't have that.

I agree on the Goalkeeper situation and forwards...but really who can we sign in goal that would relish a Roma move? Friedel? Cudichini (sp?) Recber?

There are only a handful of keepers that we could possibly afford on the budget we have...maybe the Boca keeper who's on loan in Turkiye currently....

Roma could probably swing Recber. They still own the rights to Batigol so when they dish him out to wherever (Chelsea ive heard) they should have decent funds to purchase a quality keeper. I could definitely see Recber at Roma next year, or possibly Cudicini, seeing as how he wants to go home. Friedel probably not though, hes pretty happy in England.

Do we really need another 'bad boy' attacker? Why can't we just sign a few blokes without half as many of the attitudes as Casano?

I think Recber might be a good choice...though maybe Cudichini would be better. Doesn't Recber has some sort of elbow problems or something?

What you need is for Capello to go back to his scudetto-winning tactics instead of his "how-many-defensive-midfielders-can-I-play" thing. Totti behind Cassano and Montella(or somebody that the coach actually gets along with) with Dacourt and Emerson flanked by Ze Maria and Candela, with Lassissi, Samuel and Panucci** at the back and Antonioli or Pelizzoli in goal and you are set. But he's been playing with an extra defensive mid instead of a striker and it UGLY and doesn't win, either... :/

**I forgot Legrotaglie if you can get him. Then you'd have a chance at being decent... ;)
