Almost 2 weeks ago i hurt my ankle, and it hasnt completly healed yet. When i grab my foot and pull it towards me it doesn't hurt. But when i put my foot resting on my other leg then i try to pull it it hurts.
The bone that hurts is like in the outside of your ankle, you know the little "ball" on the outside of your foot. If you touch it it you can feel a bone going up your leg.
Thats the one that hurts. So when i have that bone resting on my other leg, and then when i try to pull it towards me thats when it starts hurting.
Anybody know what i can do to make it heal faster since i got a game thursday, and with a hurting ankle i cant kick as hard as i can.

I've always gone with the good old RICE method. Rest, Ice, Compression and Elevation. But in the end, you are the person who knows your body the best and what you can do. Missing one game may give you the break you need to play the rest of the season, while playing in the game while not at 100% can give you a nagging injury for the future.

Agreed 100%
For compression, buy some elastic-type bandages (ACE) make it tight but not to where you lose circulation. Take the bandage off and re-bandage every so often. I also use the bandage to wrap an ice pack right onto the injured area and REST!!! That's the MOST important part, yet the most difficult to actually do!

Isn't Icy Hot similar to BenGay? I'm not sure if that will do anything for you. Actually, if I remember correctly, and I'm no doctor, heat will actually draw more liquid to the area and could increase swelling.

Ice does more than just swelling you can see. The tendons and ligaments could be inflamed and ice will help out with this as well.

RICE is immediate first aid for soft tissue injuries like sprains. It is not a treatment for broken bones. After 48 hours you switch from ice to heat. The reason for ice initially is to reduce swelling. Swelling causes soft tissue damage. Less damage = faster recovery. The reason for heat is to increase circulation which increases the rate of healing.

Find a university in Chicago that has
1. A good athletics program
2. A teaching hospital for their medical school
Did that where I live and was amazed at what they could figure out. Injuries can become chronic if you don't treat them well.
