PJ and Da Bruce:

What goes around comes around. I spoofed someone into thinking that the lyrics for Yellow Ledbetter were posted.

Now, I should have known that Da Bruce is not Il Bruce (Arena).

That's a hell of an interesting database. Did anyone notice that they played cover versions of songs by Mother Love Bone ("Crown of Thorns") and Green River ("Swallow My Pride")?

I would love to get my hands on a copy of "Swallow My Pride."

They did Crown of Thorns in Las Vegas (available as part of the 2000 concert bootlegs) and it's also part of the 2000 Christmas Single.

Yeah, Swallow My Pride (I had to look it up) was the 1995 single. I also thought it was on Lost Dogs, but I guess not.

we could usually find anything that someone needed/wanted

According to legend, there was a mythical Pearl Jam website that had a lot of MP3s on it. I hear Jim and Joel were responsible for a lot of it's traffic.

it wasn't mp3's

it was video

we locked that ********ing site up every chance we had

you've got some of that (i'd like it back at some point)... but that sort of thing meant less when they introduced the trees for shows (mp3, video, whatever)

i liked looking for stuff, i never liked trading

I'd imagine you can pre-order the new album from a lot of places. But only the above site will give it to you along with the New Year's Eve 1992 show. They'll also email mp3's of the new album right at 12:01 AM on May 2nd.

I got confirmation that my fan club ticket order to the Albany show went through (I ordered a while back - first day I think - but was never sure there were definitely still tickets available)... can't wait.

I would hope that's not the whole tour. We all know that more dates are announced later. That's only one month, but it is pretty full.

I'm sure they'll be on the road in August and September, maybe even into November. I've heard rumors about Australia and New Zealand, but that obviously won't do us any good.

Two nights in Denver, but with Tom Petty. Damn, that is a tough call. Is Petty opening or splitting time? How much more are these tickets going to cost? I don't like him enough to foot a lot extra. Hmm... budget-wise, I don't know if this is going to happen.

I think you're hosed in Wichita. This looks like a blue-stater tour. (Denver is blue in a see of red.) :D Q

Seeing as they haven't been here since November, 1993, I wasn't getting my hopes up for Wichita. Although, I would drive to Kansas City and Oklahoma City like I did on their last big US tour. I also saw them in St. Louis during the "Vote for Change" tour.

Of course, a fourth of July pilgrimage to Denver doesn't sound like too bad of an idea either. Although I-70 west of Salina sucks major ass.

April 29 is the big day.

Other news... Kev and I just became uncles this week (our sister had a girl).

How are things with you?

This isn't really related, but there's a guy who went missing in Columbus. He hasn't been seen in 1-2 weeks. Hopefully he comes back.

Anyway, he has a stickman tattoo and this on his [ur="http://www.myspace.com/sleepinggiant"]myspace[/url] profile:

Who i'd like to meet -- Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam because he helped hair metal come to an end.

Over on the Pearl Jam forums, someone suggested bringing back Chris.

I don't think that'll happen.
