May 2nd! And rumors say it's the best stuff in a long time.
The music hasn't declined so much as Vedder's lyrics. Anyone can write the song, "George Bush is bad because...." It takes something far more graceful and subtle to really make you feel like the world might end. The above track listing doesn't give me a lot of hope that the lyrics will return to their glory days of vs. and Vitalogy. I don't know, maybe it is just me. Q

World Wide Suicide (full song)
I like it. I hope the whole album isn't in this vain but it's good.

I was thinking about flying into Philly to see a couple of Phillies games and a PJ concert.

The website has also changed. Also available is a completely FREE AND UNRESTRICTED download of World Wide Suicide. (Note, some others have radio chatter or other noise at the end.)
I've also analyzed that email and it looks like 10C members don't have to buy two tickets, but rather can just buy one.
"Pre-sale tickets are a first come, first serve opportunity and ticket limits do apply."
Assumedly, because we don't have to buy two tickets this time around, people with higher numbers -might- get better seats. Of course, 50 people might buy 50 tickets, or they might buy 100 tickets. Maybe us late comers have a chance of moving up a few rows?
This will be FUN. :)

That article is old. It appeared in today's Columbus newspaper, and I heard the single last weekend, ripped off some radio station.
http://tenclub.net/tenclub/10Ccontact.php -- Note the new TOLL FREE hotline. The old one (local area code) was hopelessly out of date, so they took it down.
Also with a new website, apparently comes a new lyrics policy. All official lyrics are finally released on the website as well.
So I just realized what..exactly...this...means...

I felt the earth on Monday
It moved beneath my feet
In the form of a morning paper
Laid out for me to see
Saw his face in a color picture
I recognized the name
Could not stop staring at the
Face I'd never see again
It's a shame to awake in a world of pain
What does it mean when
the war is taking over?
It's the same every day
I heard my name
Why can't they say that
The world be left to hold her
(Begin Chorus)
The whole world
World over
It's World Wide Suicide
(End Chorus)
(Repeat Chorus)
Medals on a wooden mantle
Next to a handsome face
That the President took for granted
Writing checks that others pay
And in all the madness
Thought becomes numb and naive
So much to talk about
And nothing for us to say
It's the same every day
And the wave won't break
Tell you to pray while
the devil's on his shoulder
Laying claims to the tainted soldier said
I'm not a quitting
The truth's already out there
(Chorus 2x)
Looking in the eyes of the fallen
You've got to know there's another
Another (this line 4x total)
waaaaayyyyyyyyyyy
It's a shame to awake in a world of pain
What does it mean when
the war is taking over
It's the same every day
And the wave won't break
Tell you to pray while
the devil's on his shoulder
(Repeat chorus thee times)
The whole world
World over
It's World Wide Suiciiiiiiiiiide

I went in search of one song, Falling Down, which was apparently only played once at the second Red Rocks, CO concert. It isn't listed on the song list, but if you go to the show, you can link to it there. No lyrics listed. This was my first PJ show, and it was amazing. They came out and sat down and played the first five songs including the one above very mellow-like. Then they got up and rocked. It was wonderful. Q

"Not Available" LOL.
This is just too cool:
http://tenclub.net/songs/songs.php
You can sort by how many times they've played the song. I was suprised to see that they've played "Hard to Imagine" over 20 times. I didn't even know they've played that song live.
Does anyone have a copy of them playing "Window Paine" by Smashing Pumpkins?

It's sort of like what the guy at www.lukin.com was doing and the 5H concert chronology, but run by the official guys. Hopefully it'll be more intact than lukin, but obviously they don't have the descriptions that the CC at 5H has.
Someone over on the official forums didn't get the "not available" joke.

I know Jim has a lot of stuff, so he might have it. It might be on a torrent somewhere.

That's a hell of an interesting database. Did anyone notice that they played cover versions of songs by Mother Love Bone ("Crown of Thorns") and Green River ("Swallow My Pride")?
I would love to get my hands on a copy of "Swallow My Pride."

Anyone want to buy an original, made in Austria copy of the 3-cd set of the Dissident singles?
PM me if you do. I understand this is a complete spam moment. I can live with it.

Many thanks, btw.
I hunted down some info on this and found that both Steve Turner and Mark Arm are on this track, so apparently there was a mini-Green River reunion that completely escaped my attention. They also cover "Ain't Nothin' to Do," a Dead Boys song that Green River also covered. (I found this mp3 online.)
