Benaroya F-ing owns by the way. The Johnny Cash cover kills me.
I also love the acoustic Lukin. :D
25 minutes to go is great. Also good to see Ed inject some of his humor with the line about "we're gonna sing this with correct lyrics, because it always gets lost."

Anybody else think that given to fly might be about jesus?
The 2nd part definetly is. The first part, maybe, maybe not.

I'm not expecting any tags on any of the songs (betterman, daughter, etc.)
The price should make this a very sweet CD. Those "remixes" should rock as well. Anyone know if the songs were re-recorded with Matt Cameron, or are we listening to Dave Krusen, Dave A., Jack Irons, etc?
Of course, i'm still looking for the "radio version" of even flow. I think this bit just adds something to it.
"I died, I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched me. I died and you walked by and said, 'No, I'm dead'."

Ahh, I just sent you a PM that my house might not be the best idea. But I think I deleted it. Oh well.
I might have posted this, but here it is again. (I don't think I posted it.)
If you have Live at the Garden, put in disc 1. Select title 2. (I actually had to play the show. Results may vary.) You'll get a nice surprise.

Listening to Elderly Woman off Live on Two Legs.
And I came to the conclusion that Stone Gossard does nothing but kick ass.

my copy of live on two legs got stolen along with my car cd player. :(
This is my 3rd copy of live on 2 legs.
My side b of Memphis 2000 is cracked and can't play half the songs (only PJ copy of RITFW that I have). And good EdHumor in that one where they play Last Kiss, then Ed says "here's another car song, only this one doesn't wreck" as they go into RVM.
My copy of Vitalogy is missing, but I think it's near where I found 2 legs today.
So, Mr. Oxide, it could be worse.
And speaking of pearl jam, today on the radio, I heard Dissident off Columbus 2000. In terms of live stuff, they played YL off Columbus 2000 the day of (or day before) the Columbus 2003 show. As well as Elderly Woman (and whatever else) off 2L.

Yeah, you're right. The video with c-average isn't the best, but who cares? Personally, I wish there was some more pearl jam on there, but oh well.
Ed in house of blues with c-avg "And i sure ain't no democrat.. and i sure ain't gonna vote for george bush junior... I AM A PATRIOT, I LOVE MY COUNTRY" :D
And get Green some whiskey.
On second thought, maybe not.

Once and Alive - Both credited as "Brendan O'Brien remixes". I think all they did that was noticeable the first time was turn up the drums. This could be original drums, or this could be Matt. I couldn't tell.
Even Flow - Radio Version. Starts off with "Aaugh!" and ends with "I died...I died and you watched me. I died and you walked by and said 'No, I'm dead.'" The swears are a little hard to understand, but Ed's probably just mumbling.
Jeremy - Uncensored, sounds like the Ten version.
Black - They turn up the general music, make it sound a little more full on the "all the pictures have all been washed in black" bit. "I know some day you'll have a beautiful life" has the same sound effect. It's either Boom, an extra guitar or something else... It almost sounds symphonic.
Daughter - Vs. version, no tag, none really expected.
YL - As heard off the Jeremy single.
Everything else is either straight off the previous records, or redone exactly as how they were.
That's my quick review. I just opened it about 5 minutes before I wrote the review.
Also...from the TenClub. (www.tenclub.net)
Please note that an error occurred when info for the "rearviewmirror" liner notes was transferred from the legal department to our art department, which resulted in the following musicians being left off of the artwork on the first run of the Greatest Hits CD. We are very bummed about this, so we wanted to provide a special thank you here on the 10c and thank them here for their invaluable contribution: Dave Abbruzzese, Dave Krusen, Jack Irons, Kenneth "Boom" Gaspar and Brendan O'Brien."
I doubt this will be worth much in the future, but my copy doesn't have those people listed. I don't know if that'll be fixed for a (rumored) vinyl release.

So I finally checked out the www.gemm.com site. You can sell your music, and it's listed until someone buys it, I guess.
On a whim, I hit CTRL+F and type "ROSK"....
I just cannot pay any money for that. And someone wants $32 for it. And it's not even a complete show.
Still, everything you'd ever want musically is probably on that site. Pearl Jam, etc., you name it.

From the review Stogey linked:
----------
...or a shirtless boy both wrapped in the American flag and standing in front of a wall of flames...
I still think that would have made very cool cover art.
---------
"I Got ********" (formerly "I Got ID")
It's "I Got ID" on my CD.
----------
(the glib "Elderly Woman Behind a Counter in a Small Town", the lyrical disaster "Wishlist", "Better Man", the awkward cover of "Last Kiss"), it's not very fun to listen to.)... Those are some good songs, IMO.

Merry New Year and Happy Christmas to Pearl Jammers everywhere. Here's the "Best of" the newest Rumor Pit.
(That's my personal opinion "best of", btw. ;) It's most of it though.)
We welcome you to the
PEARL JAM RUMOR PIT
Issue #59 - December 4, 2004
GOOD TIDINGS
The Ten Club will be releasing a very special limited edition CD featuring Ed singing with the Walmer High School choir from South Africa. The CD will have a number of tracks of the choir and a few tracks with Ed and the choir together. We have a terrific article for you in the News section on pearljam.com for background on the project. "The Molo Sessions" cd will be available Dec. 15th at pearljam.com and sales will benefit Molo Care, a Seattle non-profit that raises money for schools in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Next year is going to be a wonderful year jam packed with Pearl Jam goodies to fill everyone's wishlist. Pearl Jam have been busy working on their next studio album to be released on the BMG label, and tour plans are in the works. Although it's still too early to give specifics, European fans can do some early rejoicing. :)
HAPPY HOLIDAYS
It's looking like the annual holiday fan club single will start shipping on December 20th. To be eligible for the single you'll have to be a member as of Dec. 15. You don't want to miss out so be sure your address is current; you can send those changes to address@tenclub.net. If the anticipation is simply too much to bear, scroll down to the Ten Club Q & A section to see what this year's holiday single is going to be.
RUMORS, RUMOURS, RUMORS...
PEARL Rumor: Eddie contributed 2 ukulele songs to the surf film DVD "A Broke Down Melody" .... is this true?
JAM Fact: Maybe one song.
PEARL Rumor: Pearl Jam will sign with Warner Bros?
JAM Fact: False.
~Q&A~Q&A~Q&A~Q&A~
Q: Is there any chance that PJ will make the VFC tour available on iTunes? I know you said in the last Rumor Pit that there wouldn't be an official Pearl Jam release of the VFC shows however, will the organizers of the event be releasing anything on cd or dvd?
A: No.
Q: Will Boom Gaspar be playing on the next studio album? Cause he played great in Riot Act.
A: Not sure yet, but we love him.
Q: Is Boom officially part of the band?
A: No.
Q: Wasn't Pearl Jam contracted to only do 7 albums with Sony? Why did they
release Lost Dogs and Rearviewmirror?
A: The deal was for 7 studio albums plus a Greatest Hits and B-sides.
Q: When are the guys going to create a "celebrity playlist" for iTunes on the Apple website? I'd be curious to know what else they listen to besides Neil Young and The Ramones.
A: We’re working on it.
Q: Before the "pearljam.com" web site went down a few weeks back there was a
guitar solo Mike McCready had done in thanks for support made to a Crohns' benefit. It was a link to either a .wav or .mpeg file. Is that still online somewhere? Can it be put up again?
A: Sorry, that’s gone for now, but if you keep supporting, he’ll have to do another one.
~TEN CLUB Q&A~
Q: From Pit 58: "When can we expect another cool newsletter from the fan club?
Answer was "Roc-tober." When will that Newsletter go out? What happened?
A: We were working on a Vote for Change newsletter, and we weren’t able to get it out before the election. Now it seems a little obsolete, so we’re working on a new one to come out after the first of the year.
Q: Which concert of the bootleg series has been the most demanded by PJ fans on Ten Club?
A: Seattle 2, Las Vegas 10 Year Anniversary, Perth, Katowice, and Verona are all at the top of the list.
Q: What is the grace period to renew fan club membership if it expired while the Ten Club store was down?
A: We’re extending it back to August 1.
Q: Any changes to fan club ticketing for the next tour?
A: There will be some changes.
Q: Will people still be able to choose multiple shows?
A: We hope so.
Q: Will it still be seating by seniority?
A: Yes.
Q: What kind of cool, new merchandise will be available in Goods at the pearljam.com store?
A: We’ve got a new 10c shirt that’s inspired by one of the oldest PJ shirts. (no, it’s not the stickman!) And there’s a new poster taken at the Fleet Center during rehearsal before the last tour.
Q: Can we get a wee hint as to what's on the holiday single?
A: What the heck, we’ll tell you what’s on it. “Someday at Christmas” a classic Motown holiday song, written by Stevie Wonder and made popular by the Jackson Five. Also, there’s a new version of “Betterman” that Ed did with the Walmer High School choir from South Africa.
The Ten Club: Please send your questions about fan club issues to the Ten Club only at info@tenclub.net. You'll find Ten Club updates on the official Ten Club website at http://www.tenclub.net/. We just have to forward the fan club mail if it's sent to us and that's a slight delay. Thanks!
