* There has been some more activity in the Pearl Jam warehouse rehearsal space. Equipment is being pulled off the shelves and dusted off. Rows of amps have been seen as well as guitars being tuned up. No doubt something is brewing.
* We've been getting great feedback on the new DEEP Magazine as members have been getting it in the mail over the past 2 weeks. If you haven't gotten your issue yet we're sure it will arrive shortly. It's being sent by the US Postal Service so it could take anywhere from 1-6 weeks. We want to thank all the members for their patience in getting this latest issue out. As for the future, we're back on track and have already got several pages of the next issue laid out. We'll be sure to keep you updated on it's progress.
* Rumors have been swirling about a possible re-release of Pearl Jam's TEN album. As with everything this band does, any announcements regarding future releases will come when they are ready and not a moment sooner. Sit tight, you can count on Ten Club to have all the details if and when anything comes our way.

It's back! Click the image to buy. 10C members get a discount until the 21st, I think.

* Package also includes an Eddie Vedder-style composition notebook filled with replica personal notes, images and mementos from the collections of Eddie Vedder and Jeff Ament, a vellum envelope with replicated era-specific ephemera from Pearl Jam’s early work and a two-sided print commemorating the Drop in the Park concert.
* The next issue of DEEP is about halfway done! We've got some more candid "behind-the-scenes" snapshots plus some reflections from Mike McCready ready to go. Look for it to go out around the same time as the Ten Re-issues on March 24th.
* The 2008 Holiday Single has not gone out yet but we hear that work is being done to get it just right. We'll let you know as soon as it's ready. (No surprise. They really should call this the "Easter Single.")
Maybe a new album and/or tour coming soon?

From the latest email, sent on 2/13.
Vote for your favorite Ten re-release t-shirt design over at www.pearljam.com
As we get closer to the big Ten Re-issue next month, tracks from the remixed version of Ten plus bonus and live tracks will be hitting radio next Tuesday. We will be streaming songs straight from the 10C Digital Lounge on PearlJam.com as well as the Pearl Jam Myspace page.
You can pre-order the Ten Re-issue, including the amazing Super Deluxe Box, at PearlJam.com right now. Pre-Orders are randomly going to be selected to be signed by PJ members. You'll get free U.S. Shipping, $30 Canada/$50 International and will be shipped on or before March 24, 2009.
PLEASE NOTE: The cut-off date for pre-orders is March 1st. After March 1st you can still place an order but U.S. shipping will no longer be free and will not have a chance at being signed by the band.
The 2008 Holiday Single is done! It has NOT shipped yet but it's on it's way to getting manufactured right now and we're hoping to have it in your hands next month. It looks like the next issue of DEEP will ship at the same time. Should be an exciting month!
Work continues on the next Pearl Jam Studio Album. As you may have read in the press lately, the band is hard at work putting together some solid songs and will hopefully start recording really soon. We've seen a lot of activity outside the Digital Lounge over the past several weeks and can't wait to get our hands on a sneak peek at what the band has in store for us.
In the meantime, what I think we've wanted for a while:

Has anyone else listened to the 10 re-issue? It's not a massive change, but till a satisfying one. Every song sounds just a bit more crisp.

I have the "Super Deluxe Edition." The original 10 CD and vinyl (different artwork), as well as the remix on CD and vinyl. I also got a tour notebook with various thoughts from Ed, some other various posters and whatnot, as well as a DVD which Jim actually gave to me a few years ago, and the "Drop in the Park" on DVD.
I also still have the "10 Revisited" on my DVR from VH1. The censoring on that is weird. Two renditions of the "f word" are bleeped, but another one isn't. Anyway... They do show the original (well not TRULY original, but the unedited) Jeremy video, complete with Nazi salutes (which may or may not be in the MTV version) and the scene where he sticks the gun in his mouth.
Interesting note on the DVD is that a line regarding Beth (Ed's significant other at the time??) has been removed. I'll have to check the DVD Jim gave me and see if the Beth line is in it.
Look for other reissues and remixes of the other albums on down the road.
BTW, I have still not received my holiday single. I think a new issue of DEEP is coming out sometime soon as well. (I think I have two issues of DEEP.) The "What do I get with my membership" has changed. It used to say "Two per year", now it just has a mention of DEEP.

There's some more info, including a police report and some really idiotic comments. One of the comments indicates that Ten was their only hit. (Huh? Really? Too bad the guy bailed before songs like Given To Fly, In Hiding, or Lukin.)
And apparently Obama and the "liberal policies" are getting the blame. (Huh?)

So I'm in Seattle this weekend for a wedding. Last night, we saw the Deranged Diction reunion show at the Crocodile. For those who don't know, DD were Jeff Ament's high-school era hardcore punk band. They hadn't played together in 25 or so years.
One of the singers (can't remember his name) later played in Swallow, and the other guitarist, Bruce Fairweather, was in Green River and Mother Love Bone with Ament.
DD aren't all that special, but it was a pretty fun show. All of the guys--Ament especially--were clearly having the time of their lives.

Deranged Diction was Jeff Ament, Bruce Fairweather, and Tom Kipp. Apparently, Tom Kipp was replaced by Tim Healey.
Bruce Fairweather went in to Green River #2, with Jeff, Stone, and Mark Arm (of Mudhoney.) Also in Mudhoney? Steve Turner (Green River #1) and the famous Matt Lukin. (Ed likes Matt's refrigerator.)

I also got my copy of DEEP and the 2008 Holiday Single yesterday. :)

The new song (as debuted on The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien) kicks ass.
The new coverart looks great, but it seems very much like the red hoodie and some of the artwork on the website...typical of the band to offer clues through the website.
The new title? Backspacer. As always, i'm sure it'll kick ass on vinyl.

Obviously, www.pearljam.com isn't working now.
Ed does not play in the song played tonight. Of course, Stone was wearing a red t-shirt. (Doesn't he always?)

I liked the new song on Conan a lot - but didn't it seem like Eddie was struggling a little bit?

I didn't notice. Perhaps he was missing his wine bottle. I'll have to re-watch it.

So the album has been "out" for a week and no comments????
I love it, by the way. Supersonic and Got Some are my favorites so far, but the whole album is real solid.
