My copy arrived Tuesday witht he 12-31-92 show. I've enjoyed listening to the copy I downloaded and it's now nice to pick up an old live show as most of what I have is 00-05 from the Bootleg series.
Best Buy has the CD for 9.99 so it's worth going out and getting it that way as well.

So do any PJ fans here have any opinions on the new album?

I just saw the boys going into the Ed Sullivan Theater for Letterman tonight (right around the corner from my work).

I've said it before, it's great, they havent put this much energy into an album since VS. The songs are quickly becoming very memorable and I'm certain it will rank as one of their bests in the long run.

Anyone watch the mini-concert webcast they put on at Letterman?
I'm praying someone recorded it for YouTube or something....

They also put the AOL sessions now:

Hard to Imagine. Wow.
The new album is amazing. I would put it slightly better than No Code and on par with Yield (its a more consistent album). Fabulous stuff.

If any of you are going to a show, I encourage you to check out the following threads

Long story short (viewable at those threads) -- A fan from Central Ohio has gone missing, and there's a collective effort among the fans to meet up at the CCFA shows and distribute t-shirts with his face on them so that we get the message out.
Reward for information leading to his discovery is currently at $100,000, but goes down to $25,000 on Wednesday.

Binaural was released on 5/16/2000. Happy Birthday!
...still one of the weirdest Pearl Jam releases ever.

So they're in New Jersey (Camden), last night and tonight. And for the first time in a LONG time, Ed sang:
Troubled souls unite. We got ourselves tonight. Oh.
I am fuel, you are friends. We got the means to make amends.
I am lost. I'm no guide but I'm by your side.
I am right by your side. Yeah.
Lucky NJ bastards. :p

I quite like Binaural. Certainly better than Riot Act.
Its a shame that the actual quality of the recording was poor on the album. The songs are great, some of them dont sound too good on the CD.

I think the first time they played it this tour was in the boston show. Can't believe those bastards. They got one of the most incredible set lists I can remember:
Severed Hand, Corduroy, World Wide Suicide, Do The Evolution, Given To Fly, Dissident, Even Flow, Marker In The Sand, Low Light, Insignificance, Army Reserve, Garden, I Got Id, State Of Love And Trust, Comatose, Inside Job, Rearviewmirror
Encore 1 Wasted Reprise, Man Of The Hour, Elderly Woman Behind The Counter In A Small Town, Parachutes, Black, Alive
Encore 2 Why Go, Life Wasted, Smile, Indifference, Leash, Rockin' In The Free World, Yellow Ledbetter

That's probably part of it. They should almost re-release it, using a more traditional recording method just so fans could hear what it would sound like. Of course, it wouldn't be Binaural then, would it?

I'm going to the July 7th show in San Diego - can't wait, sounds like a good setlist or group of setlists they have been playing.
I might have an extra ticket in anyone in San Diego is interest in going, send a PM. I will know for certain this weekend.

Great Quote from Las Vegas:
"Here's a song. We've only played it twice." *long-ass story* "So here's that song." -- "Freezing...Rests his head on a..."
Ed also talked about how their first show was at the Off-Ramp, which was probably as big as the stage of the MGM Grand.
Gotta love that show.
