I believe Convey will play center mid against Wales.

Convey looked terrific against Mexico in the middle. I expect this weekend to be Convey's coming out party as the center mid running the show.

I think there is no one else on the roster who can run the offense. Just don't screw it up Bobby.

So if Convey starts in the middle (which I don't think he will), who plays on the left - Lewis or Olsen (from the current roster)?

Funny how Convey has run the show for the U-20s and the USMNT, but Hudson refuses to let him have the reins at DCU.

Actually, as a DC fan, it's not funny at all.

I agree that Convey runs the show. That means Lewis is on the left, Olsen is on the right, Mulrooney is d-mid.

I really want to see what this midfield can do. Can Olsen hack it on the right?

Mulrooney finally gets his shot in the center of the pitch.

I know the forward pairing will be Jovan and Donovan.

But if the bruce wants to capitalize on his wing play, might we see Ching, who is more of a target forward than others on this roster. Or do we go speed to burn and start Donovan up top with Earnie?

Should be fun to see who bruce patches together in this crazy group of players.

Oh come on, there's lots of funny things about those squaking turkeys. Like their inability to score. Can you think of a team that's better at not scoring? ;-)

Actually, I'd still take a healthy El Diablo over Convey in the middle.

Actually considering that the only team DC has shown the ability to score against are the Wizards and the Rapids, the two worst defensive teams in the league I think its safe to say that the Burn are a tad better.

True he's hurt, but Hudson hasn't said who is gonna slide in his place. Ray staked the season on Marco, in print, so he has been rather slow to see the obvious and make a change, IMHO.

Back to the USMNT.......

Brown should play right defense. I think he plays there with Chicago. Mulrooney is a Defensive Mid. This is where Brown, Vanney Conway and Olsen has to show what they can do. Reyna and Stuart can still play central and right mid in the Confederation Cup but Brown and Vanney could win the starting jobs at Right and Left Defense.

What about the guy who played in the middle against El Salvador, etc, wears the number 10? He's pretty good

Convey played very well tonight and, as someone else on the board pointed out, has Earnie Stewart to thank for knowing where to be and when in a few instances.

Man - those runs he made (one in the 44th minute? Wow!) were fantastic...
