sock?

or just reatarded?

Why there has to be people like you when normal people are having a decent discussion? Go to school.

For exceptional players like Messi and Diego, man marking by an intimidator is probably the best way to try to neutralize them. I think Diego would have thrived against today's defenses, especially with the protection from the refs.

I agree, a good marker may do more damage than quality pressure. But todays football does not totally exclude man marking. A mixture of both (man-zonal) has been perfectionized today. I think diego would not be that flashy if he played now. His 19y old self would not be able to do what Messi is doing at Barca. Of course Argies; especially Boca fans wont agree to this, but I firmly stand by my opinion

i could jump in and argue, but lanman and ASF are doing it.

i'm just surprised they're still wasting their time with this.

your responses and paul's are laughable.

I am only reading it at this point to see what backwards thinking comments are going to come out of the fingertips of the posters like Paul and Pecho at this point. It is obvious that they both don't know how to argue a point logically or accept or listen to other points of view.

I am not going to get into the in's and out's of what massive and pointless mistakes they are makng in their posts because you can read them and see but all I know is when I get finished my undergrad and then law school I will be making a lot of money of people like them that are going to need someone to argue for them.

Still have not told us what you oppose to. If you do not understand when you read, follow my previous advice : Go to school .

I do not know and care about Paul's posts, but show me one post of mine where I refused to listen and/or respect someone's view. (except for that guado who says nothing during the whole discussion and suddenly quotes what I said and insults it/me. What he did is really forward acting/thinking, and what I wrote is really backward. You will be a good lawyer. You analyse things well. )

I repeat, please show me my disrespectful-ignorant-unlogical-insensible posts (concerning football) , giving (your) logical reasons of why you view them like that. Only then we will be able to discuss properly. 6y old Comments like 'r u retarded' or 'I'll get his money - he cant argue' do not help a discussion which was pretty interesting until it got out of football.

1983 champion: Athletic Bilbao
1984 champion: Athetic Bilbao

League position Bilbao 2005: 9
League position Bilbao 2006: 12
League position Bilbao 2007: 16

That sums the quality of the Primera division up.

In what way?

In begin a lot better now. Back in the early 80's Basque teams could win the league, now they fight for relegation(Sociedad even plays foreigners(And Non-Basques) now)

Back in the early 80's there was little money in Spain, now there is a lot. Back in the early 80's there were hardly any foreigners now every team has atleast 6 to 8 Internationals in there starting eleven

messi has a long way to go, and i hesitate in saying that Diego Marrodona is the best footballer that has ever touched an Argentine ball.

I don't know why you keep arguing this way. Did you watch Diego play as a teenager? As good as Messi is, I believe that nobody who saw Diego play as a teenager can honestly make a serious comparison. Diego was a freak of nature, he was unbelievable.

As amazing as his career was in Napoli, and as impressively as he dominated at the 86 WC, it is not a stretch to say that Diego played his best football at Argentinos Juniors, as a teen.

Yes I have.

How many players who are not yet 20 are starters and game-winners for any major European team?

Rooney was, Christiano Ronaldo was, Ronaldo was, Giggs was, Raul was, Casillas was, Del Piero was, Kluivert was, Totti was, Fabregas is, Anelka was. It's not is if it's an unusual occurance for a teenager to play regularly for a big side or to be a match winner.

Messi does it with the bigest team in the world and with the best team in the world.

Most of the names mentioned were/are not game winners at 19

All of them were/are game winners as teenagers for their clubs.
That is why I listed them. If you don't believe me, go and do a bit of research on those players.

Look. If you don't know that Kluivert scored the winning goal in the CL final at the age of 17, or that Rooney was winning games at Euro 2004, or that Anelka played a key role in Arsenal winning the double then there is no hope for you.
You have lost every argument you have had in this thread to a number of different posters, yet you still carry on making pathetic statements that do little to show anything other than a complete ignorance about the game and individuals standings withing it. Please, just leave this alone as with every single further post you make here, you are looking more and more like a little Messi fan-boy who has not seen any football prior to 2005.
