What the hell do u mean excuses?? Joe Torre has been there done that. What else does the man have to prove? We need a young coach to come in who is hungry and who has the drive, knowledge, and backbone for New York. So please don't tell me im making excuses. Also we need to do a better job in getting some plp in the bullpen that can actually do something. Rivera is most likely gone so time to start spending George. Can anyone say Joe Girardi..... I can.

Hauler, not busting your balls I'm actually curious what the buzz is like in San Diego right now for the AFC Championship?
the Patriots are the favorites by everyone to win the Superbowl. QUOTE]
[QUOTE=pookspur;12368240]odd. that's not what i'm hearing here in indiana.
Hehehe. Sorry Pook, had to.
After reading through this past page, I really come off as an asshole. I guess thats because I am, but I hope everyone knows I'm just busting balls and I'm not trying to gloat, we've just been spoiled.

Football:
Red Bull New York, just got my new season tix settles for next season. Well worth the price of watching Jozy Altidore develop into a superstar.
Wish I had a Spanish, French, or Italian side to root for, I really do. If Jozy ends up in La Liga, i'm sure I'll follow that side.
Baseball:
St. Louis Cardinals. Home state team, always been a red bird. will always be a red bird.
Basketball:
Portland Trailblazers. First time I ever lived close to an NBA city was when I lived in Portland, plus I loathe the Lakers so it worked out nicely.
I've fallen off the NFL bandwagon though, used to root for the Chiefs and then the Rams (both Missouri teams) but now I just can't be bothered. I like to see teams from Boston fail, so I will root against the Patriots.

Giants to the Super Bowl great start to the new year I have to say. We will be playing a great team and the odds will be highly stacked against us but I think that we have a decent chance to take a win away from the Super bowl.
When I go to work tomorrow I'm going to pick up my 200 hundred dollars that I won in a bet and also I'm going to be talking a whole lotta shit to all the chargers fans in my complex and at work. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe the Giants, they really deserve it though. I lost a bet giving the points with the Packers but it happens. Should be a good Superbowl.

MLB: Atlanta Braves... Started liking baseball due to watching it with my grandparents who lived in Georgia. Liked the Dodgers initially but grew to hate the new owner and when my grandpa died following the Braves became sort of a way of remembering him.
NHL: Nashville Predators... Moved to TN when I was 14 so I was here when they got a team. Grew up in Ft. Lauderdale so I initially was a Panthers fan but with the arrival of the Preds my allegiances shifted.
NFL: Tennessee Titans... Originally a diehard Dolphins fan owing to my youth, but I started suppporting the Oilers as soon as they announced the move to Nashville. Better memories in Tennesse than in Florida.
NBA: Miami Heat... Grew up in Florida, so I supported them and there is no local team close to TN, so I still do. NBA is my least favorite to follow, though. (I have developed an appreciation for Steve Nash like many others have mentioned)
College: Grew up liking Florida State, but seeing so many players arrested and suspended every year I found it impossible to support such a team. I am a college free agent... No college basketball team either.

The buzz in San Diego was crazy. Everyone was out in there chargers gear and people actually went to the stadium to watch the game. It was crazy. People actually thought they were going to win.

Main Sports:
Geelong Cats (AFL) - My main sport.
Tottenham (EPL) - Second Sport
England (Cricket)
Jenson Button, Kubica, Hiedfeld, Kimi (F1) - Watch the F1 every round since I was about 14 or 15.. I don't really have a favourite team or driver, but those mentioned I like.
Sports I follow a fair bit:
San Antonio Spurs (NBA) - I used to have a basketball game on my old Super Nintendo and I always played as them. Never seen a game I am afraid, but I know as much as I can from reviews etc so not just a bandwagoner.
V8 Supercars - Follow Ford.
Sports I don't follow apart from checking who won:
Steelers (NFL)
Penguins (MLB)
Pirates (NHL) - I have family friends in Pittsburgh and they send me all the tops, hats etc. I know key players, but only check to see if they win in the paper. Don't follow it all that much.
