No, its substandard to that of Mexico, but a good jumping board to Western Europe.

defender i think anyways... i found this you guys

With valentia and the natural anger of the Mexicans, Sergio and Antonio will have to demonstrate their capacity and to manage to gain a position in the group of the Bentonite. Sergio Ramirez, experienced doorman of 27 years who played for the Students of Santander, seems to have of his side the 1.826 minutes that disputed in the ascent division. Its remarkable physical presence also will be, without a doubt, a factor that allows him to seize of a place in the Bentonite. Antonio, a young defense of 20 years with little professional experience, will live what his club. That is to say, he will have to learn to forced marches if he wants to emphasize. Thus the things, if Sergio and Antonio manage to remain in Armenia, the number of ambassadors who have participated in the soccer of that country will ascend to three after Ulises Delgado participated with the FC Pyunik in the 2005.

The First Parties

Yesterday the FC Bentonite celebrated the first friendly party in their history like club. The result, a tie to one with the Gandzasar (5o place, Premier League 2006), seems to augur a good future for the youngest child of Armenian soccer. Sergio, our ambassador, covered the goal with the Bentonite the ninety minutes and had a participation outstanding. Antonio, on the other hand, entered of change minute 54. One hopes that the destiny of the FC Bentonite, as well as the one of our ambassadors, is decided in the next days. At the moment, Sergio and Antonio will have until end of February, when he initiates edition 2007 of the Armenian Premier League, to convince the directors of the FC Bentonite.

Edgar Manucharyan of Ajax came from Pyunik Yerevan of the Armenian League. Here's some info on him.

But I agree with you about not getting excited about two dudes playing in the Armenian League. But good luck to them anyways.

well, there's one.

never knew he played in armenia, i thought he was an ajax product.

the only other armenians i knew of in big time leagues were djorkaeff and boghossian, and they're both french-armenian.

and teymourian, of bolton, but he's iranian-armenian.

btu good luck.

may they advance and go far in their careers...

i give props to lopez for opting for mexico.

hopefully he moves to a better club.

Just to let everybody know, that Bentonit was knocked out in the first round of the Armenian Cup they lost to Gandzasar 0:1. In this coming season they are gonna play in the first division and hopefully they are gonna promote to the Premier League. Their stadium is under construction. If you need more info about armenian football, visit www.Armfootball.com The site is in 3 languages armenian, russian and pretty soon its gonna be in english also. We have a big forum over there and we have a section for english speakers so you can ask or comment whatever you want.

Personally, I am fascinated by the randomness of two Mexican guys playing in Armenia. Sounds like a bad comedy. In any case, I'm curious to see what comes of it.
