Solo Sevilla

Hello Tottenham fans,
I made a proposal on a Sevilla F.C. forum I frequently visit. The proposal consisted of inciting Sevilla fans to ask some questions about Tottenham that they would like fellow Spurs fans to answer. I volunteered to translate them and post them on a Tottenham forum.
I think this a good way to get to know Tottenham better. Any of you can answer any of the questions, but it would be better if everyone answered a different question in order to not have the same question&answer repeated. If you would like to ask a question about Sevilla, feel free to do so.
-----
1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain?
2)How would you define your team?
3)Did Defoe's progression stop?
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake?
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ?
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla?
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..)
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals?
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players?
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final?
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened?
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)?
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla?
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there?
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why?
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite?
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different?
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla?
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ?

1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain? Yes we are well aware you are top of la liga and your fans are very loud
2)How would you define your team? Good team, plays good football, not quite as good as the top 4 but one of the best after that, bit inconsistant at times and at the moment our defence isn't very good because we are missing Ledley King
3)Did Defoe's progression stop? Not really, he just has tough time trying to fight Robbie Keane for a starting place
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake? He's done very well for you and being the top goalscorer in Spain right now i'm sure it was a great signing for you, but he was incosistant with us, he'll come back to haunt us no doubt :(
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ? I watch you quite often on skysports, very good team, Luis Fabiano, Alves, Kanoute, Chevanton, Kerzhakov are some really great players for you, one of the best teams in europe.
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla? well in terms of skill and style probally Man Utd, in Club size I wouldn't know
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..) We only have a small hooligan group and don't travel abroad, don't worry about that.
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals? North London neighbours Arsenal is our main rival, then after that probably Chelsea
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players? Kerzhakov, Kanoute, Luis Fabiano, Alves, Chevanton and of course your goalkeeper Pulop.
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final? of course since I watch spannish football quite often
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened? As I said earlier we don't have a large hooligan group and we don't start trouble in europe, the only time I know we started trouble was the Uefa cup final in 1974, that was 33 years ago
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)? Sevilla or Werder Bremen
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla? Very dissapointed but I suppose we've got to beat the best to be the best.
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there? I'd respect it, and i did hear about it before hand
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why? Fabiano and Alves, both really skillful and creative.
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite? No Seville is favorite since you are the current champions and top of your league ahead of Barcelona, Real Madrid and Valencia, I expect Sivilla go through if i'm honest but I think we'll give you a good game at home atleast
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different? Spain, England and Italy are the top 3 leagues in the world, same opinion with me
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla? Very high, same level as Manchester United or Inter Milan at the moment
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ? we don't play long ball football, we do spend a lot of money but to say we are direct or long ball is incorrect, anybody that watches us knows this, we can play it if we wanted to or if we are in the last minutes of a game but we've always had a repuation of playing passing flashy football and having flashy players like Berbatov, Keane and Lennon[COLOR=blue]My awnsers in Blue.

1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain?
Seville is tied on points with Barca, yeah, y'all are good.
2)How would you define your team?
On a good streak at the moment with lots of talent, young.
3)Did Defoe's progression stop?
Defoe needs to get over himself and get into yoga or something and he'd score 25+ a season.
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake?
I think he was always a player that would do better in a different league. Top class, glad to see him have success.
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ?
My relationship to cable TV has sucked this season, can't make a judgement.
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla?
By league position, Chelsea.
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..)
Screw hooligans, wish I could go to the match and then guzzle gazpachpo and tapas until I was sick
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals?
Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players?
Kanoute and obviously others I need to know more about.
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final?
Yes.
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened?
All of Tottenham's fans are pacifists and will be having a group meditation before the match. :D
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)?
You beat the mighty 'boro last year, so you have to be considered a fav.
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla?
Not well, but I what little I do know about your style this year, I think it will be a great match.
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there?
I'll be praying the entire match.
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why?
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite?
Tottenham can't be considered a favourite, equals on our best day.
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different?
Yeah, La Liga is the second best league in the world... :D
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla?
This year you'd have to say Sevilla are in the top 10 in the world. If you're tied with points with Barca at this point in the season you definitely play good football.
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ?
Based on our past games this year we play very exciting football, attractive to most nuetrals.

1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain? Extraordinary? You've done well to sell big players and still be strong, if that's what you mean.
2)How would you define your team? A work in progress but a very promising one. After years of mediocrity they finally got their act together, changed the management system and bought some good, young players. Now we are seeing a very talented squad mature together. They have won 7 of the last 9, 1 draw and 1 defeat (both to Chelsea).
3)Did Defoe's progression stop? Defoe's progression has stopped because he is no longer first choice, and hasn't been for some time. It's up to him to perform but maybe he's under too much pressure and is only looking to make a name for himself - not help the team so much. Not going to the World Cup really hurt him, especially when Walcott was taken and didn't play.
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake? No, i didn't really like him. Too inconsistent and he annoyed the board by changing to Mali and going to the African Cup of Nations when the club were struggling. Replacing Kanoute properly was the real mistake. If they had got Berbatov then instead of last summer then people wouldn't keep banging on about it, instead they got Rasiak from Derby (now at Southampton) and it worked about as well as a screendoor in a submarine.
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ? I quite like watchign Sevilla, i like how the team has been built and rebuilt after losing players - Reyes, Ramos, Baptista for example. Yet still top 4 or 5 teams througout the season.
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla? Probably Spurs actually. In terms of recent performances. Exciting at home, becoming tougher to beat away (finally!) and a crop of good young players.
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? Spurs don't have many hooligans, there certainly hasn't been any trouble on any of the away trips this season. Places like Prague, Leverkusen, Istanbul and Braga. No trouble at all.
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals? Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham think they are our rivals too.
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players? Probably Alves and Kanoute. Maresca is ok too.
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final? Yes, only really the season before that did i start to pay attention. When Julio Baptista was scoring goals.
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened? *sigh* Tottenham fans travel in large numbers, not many hooligans, no trouble this season. No trouble last time in Europe either. No need to worry, stop asking these questions! Not all english teams are trouble, it's not the 70s and 80s anymore.
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)? The final will be the winner of our tie vs the winner of Benfica/Bremen.
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla? Would have preferred one of the weaker sides but i am not worried. Spurs are 100% in Europe so far, set a new british record for the number of straight wins (which was 7) and beat it last week. We're now at 8.
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there? Makes no difference to me. The game should be fulfilled on that day because that's when it was drawn.
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why? No one is my favourite, not even Fredi. I watch the games but don't particularly care.
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite? Not favourite, both teams are very equal. Spurs should win at home but it'll be tough away and a tricky tie over the both games.
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different? England, Spain and now Germany/France. Serie A is a joke this season, Inter running away with it and some of the other sides are useless. They shouldn't have let Lazio and Fiorentina back in and should not have reduced any of the points deductions. This season was always going to be a joke there. Hopefully it'll be better next.
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla? Behind Barcelona, same level as Valencia (in the league) and ahead of Real Madrid - who are also a joke club. But Barca are the best team in the country.
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ? Great amount of money? A lot less than some clubs in our league. £68m in 3 seasons, but got back £40m of that. Chelsea obviously are top, then Man Utd and Liverpool. Spurs spend what it takes to keep up and make progress, they are a rich club and always have been - besides a small problem in the 80s. English direct football? do you guys not watch the games or something? In the last 8 games they have scored 26 goals. We have scored 5s, 4s, 3s a lot in the last 2 months. Passing through teams, shots and goals from different players and different areas. But also they do use long passes. That in itself is a skill, to change tactics to suit the need of the team and to play different types of opposition.
There.

1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain?
I heard they were good fans.
2)How would you define your team?
Classy attacking team. Youngest team in the Premiership. Team that has only recently found its chemistry after integrating 3 or 4 new starters from last season. Our best defender has been out all year and we leak goals. Our goalkeeper has had a poor season. We lost our starting Dmid and have had a bit of a revolving door at Dmid and Central Defense. Our left back situation has flip-flopped between a great defender who can't attack well and a decent attacker that's not the best at defending. We're injured and extremely fatigued from playing two games a week for over a month.
3)Did Defoe's progression stop?
Progression, not sure but I'd say probably not, but he has faced an uphill battle to get into the lineup until Keane got injured, so I guess you could say his progression has stopped.
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake?
This could be debated, but Fredi's ability wasn't really ever his problem, it was his health. Similar to our 4th striker now, Mido, Kanoute just couldn't get and stay healthy. The Premiership is a much more fast and physical league than La Liga, and it took its tole on Fredi. Everyone always thought he'd fare better in Spain where the game is less physical and more technical. His body has held up and defenders give him the room and time on the ball to make plays, and he's always performed when defenders allow him time, space, and he's not injured. Was Spurs selling Kanoute a mistake ... in retrospect no. But, I must say I'd still rather thave Kanoute than Mido. Comparing Kanoute to Berbatov, clearly Spurs would prefer Berbatov. I'm not sure Kanoute would have been happy as a sub at Spurs, so I think its best for all involved that Kanoute went to Spain.
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ?
Any team that's near the top of La Liga must be a great team. IMHO, La Liga, along with the Premiership, is one of the two best leagues in the world. Serie A hasn't been the same since Zidane left and has fallen from the pinacle and continues to slide. The Bundesliga hasn't really been a top league for a long time now. Today it's the Premiership and La Liga for the apex of the game. If Sevilla is good enough to hang with Valencia, Barca and Real Madrid, clearly they must have an excellent team, even if I'm not familiar with it.
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla?
I don't know enough about Sevilla to answer that one. Tell me more about Sevilla and I'll give it a shot though.
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..)
Well, if you ask a stupid question, you'll get a stupid answer, so here goes ... since they were born in Sevilla, I'm guessing they're already at home. Hope your inciting friend who wanted to be a jerk is happy now. :)
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals?
The club that moved from another part of London up to North London to be near Spurs, Arsenal.
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players?
I'm not sure I know enough about Sevilla to answer this one, but I know that any time a good player returns to a former team he's always dangerous, so I'd guess Kanoute would be one of the dangermen.
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final?
Yes, but I don't follow La Liga nearly as closely as I follow MLS, the Premiership and Serie A.
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened?
Actually, Spurs aren't located in the nicest neighborhood of London, so you might expect some Hooligans, but Spurs really don't have much of a hooligan history. You're asking this at the right time though, because we just had a very bitter FA Cup match with our cross-town rivals Chelsea and one fan got onto the field and took a swing at one Chelsea player and got restrained, then Chelsea's Didier Drogba stamped on the kid after he was restrained. So, you could worry that this kid travels I guess. I can't remember any other hooligan incidents from Spurs in many many years.
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)?
Werder Bremen.
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla?
We were not happy about being paired with one of the top teams in La Liga and the holders of the UEFA Cup. One typical poster's response kind of summed it up when he said "Rotten draw for us. Worse draw for Sevilla."
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there?
Yes we heard about it and yes we realize Sevilla has asked to move the game. I'm not travelling to the game, so no point in me answering this one. But, if it were me I'd respect it. We still don't know if the game will be rescheduled either.
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why?
I can't answer this one.
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite?
Tottenham has currently won 100% of their UEFA Cup games this season, not even a single draw. We're also on a run of the most consecutive victories by an English team in the competition, 8 or so I think. We definitely shouldn't be taken lightly. But, Sevilla is in a comparable league and is higher in their table than Spurs. Sevilla are the holders of the UEFA Cup. I see this as probably the two best teams in the competition this season based on performances alone. I'd consider Sevilla the favorites, but not by much.
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different?
Agree completely that the Premiership and La Liga are the best two leagues in the world. I don't think Serie A is anymore though sadly. Serie A isn't what it used to be and the Bundesliga hasn't been at that level in a very long time.
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla?
Not sure. I was hoping you'd give us more info on Sevilla. :)
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ?
Someone hasn't done much research on Spurs. While the bottom feeders (and Bolton) still play route one football, Spurs most assuredly do not. You'll probably find more long balls from Barca than Spurs. We play a very attacking brand of flowing football. Yes, Spurs play fast and it's probably much more physical than you're accustomed to in La Liga, but by Premiership standards Spurs isn't very physical at all.
One reason Spurs have done so well in Europe and not as well in the Premiership is that we're not as physical as most English teams, but we're very technical. When we face European teams they are surprised at how technical we are, and we take advantage at the slow pace of the game and win.
One thing I do know about Sevilla is that they're fast, particularly on their right side. While Spurs are accustomed to playing against fast teams, I wonder how Sevilla will fare against a team that has very pacey players as well? Aaron Lennon is one of our players with speed to burn. Jermain Jenas is another fast player. Defoe up top has pace as well.
If Sevilla is expecting Spurs to play a lot of long-ball, they're defenders are going to have nightmares and Spurs will win handily. I think the scouts for Sevilla realize that Spurs aren't a long-ball team. None of our strikers tend to score from balls over the top except on set pieces like every other team.
Thanks for doing this, and we eagerly await your info on Sevilla. Hope you enjoy our info. :)

1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain?
...thats the beaty of satelite tv we can watch La Liga, seen some Sevilla games and watched them tear up boro in the last UEFA Final. Extraordinary? your're not a gooner in disguise are ya?
2)How would you define your team?
....play quick football, with good movement from the front two, when on form play very fluid football, that has seen us win every Euro game we've played this season. Have a bit of a dodgy backline with out King. But have enough creativity in the side to score goals whomever we play.
3)Did Defoe's progression stop?
Defoe imo will be sold in the summer. Keane offers more creativity and has more dimensions to his game, so i suppose the answer is yes. I doubt you will see Defoe start either game
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake?
I know some Spurs fans think he is lazy, but i liked him even though he had a rather smell about him ;). Not missed at all as we have Berbatov who is a big upgrade on him.
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ?
tbh I don't really have one, although I can get to see La Liga games i rarely show an interest. Hope you're players don't do a lot of play acting to con the ref. I think you will be the toughest test in Europe so far
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla?
....not sure who would you think?
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..)
....as others said don't expect any trouble, although I disagree with Colm, I think Tottenham has one of the largest groups in London. And are active, but we have been good up to now in europe. other than some minor trouble in Coln Germany.
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals?
geographically and historically Arsenal (only 5 miles apart), for the ones who like a bit of a dust up it would be Chelsea. and West Ham are a bunch of cvnts.
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players?
Kanoute, Alves geting some crosses in and set pieces.
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final?
Yes but never really saw them
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened?
....Chelsea is the most recent bit of trouble this season in Parsons Green. Its hard to say but it would be a better off question posted on the Yid Army website (just put Yid Army in google) there are definitely people who can help you with these types of questions. Sounds as if you think Sevilla may be looking for some trouble?
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)?
...yourselves or Benfica
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla?
...bit concerned, but in the quarter final you have to meet someone to go onto win it.
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there?
....only heard about it a week or so ago. I don't think the Spurs fans will go out to cause havoc in it. But they will want to drink and sing so it might seem disrespectful. I heard Sevilla is looking to move it. I will be very disappointed if the legs get switched, especially considering Sevilla knew that this festival happens every year. and there was a good chance the club would still be involved.
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why?
Alves, technically good, puts in some dangerous crosses and can hit a good freekick
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite?
...I think Tottenham will get beat in Spain, by a goal, but will score and I think they will turn you over at the Lane.
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different?
...same way
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla?
....Sevilla last time I looked was second in La Liga, current holders so the team must be held in high regard, its also nice to see another team other than Real, Barca and valencia having a go at the championship.
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ?
....personally think thats a fallacy, Tottenham play on the floor traditionally. Hopefully the Sevilla management will see us as a long ball team it will shock the pants off them when we play. The team does get the ball quickly into the opponents half, but do that by quick passing.

1)Being in London, are you aware that you'll be facing an extraordinary team, and the best fans in Spain? I agree Sevilla fans are fecking loud but it is our players job to get them to shut up.
2)How would you define your team? We are awesome
3)Did Defoe's progression stop? He just got smaller.
4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake? I liked Kanoute, it was a mistake when we never had anyone properly lined up to replace him cos Rasiak was crap.
5)What's your opinion on Sevilla F.C. ? Quite good
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla? Tottenham
8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..) We'll have to ask him....Jumhed are you staying in Seville? :p
9) Who are Tottenham's main rivals? Arsenal, Chelsea & West Ham
10) Who do you think are Sevilla's most dangerous players? King Kanoute & Jesus Navas
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final? Course they got relegated a few years ago with Betis and Atletico Madrid.
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened? No, just don't get the reports from Feyenoord
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)? Sevilla or Bremen.
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla? Not fussed, as long as the second leg was at the Lane which it is.
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there? We will be thanking god if we beat you.
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why? David, the little left back cos finally someone is on the same level as Aaron Lennon
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite? 50/50
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership aswell as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different? Same
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla? Sevilla

4)Was selling Kanoute' a mistake?
It was at the time, but it led to Berbatov and that has been the best signing ever. But at the time, he had to be sold because he showed his lack of commitment to the club.
7)What team in the Premiership resembles Sevilla?
We do.
11) Had you ever heard of Sevilla before last years UEFA final?
yes, but we had never paid close attention before, much like you have obviously never paid much attention to Spurs until now. 8) Are the hooligans staying in Seville, or are they leaving right after the game? (I'm sorry for this stupid question, but some guy asked it and well..i just had to post it here..)
12) Do Tottenham's hooligans move to away games in large numbers? Do they have any previous violent records? If yes, when and what happened?
This seems very 1989. Hooligans are not a problem in England like the once were. You will not encounter problems either in your city nor in London. However, you might be surprised to find a rather concerned opinions of Spanish fans with the racists chants in general and the trouble between your club and Betis, being two notable points. Not that anyone would expect trouble, but we sure as hell don't want our black players facing monkey chants. I personally have never met an Andulucian that wasn't extremely nice
13) Who do you think is most likely to win the UEFA Cup (apart from Tottenham obviously)?
You or Bremen.
14) How did you guys react to the fact that you got paired up against Sevilla?
We'll I think the consensus was that if we were going to win this thing we would eventually have to face you (although I don't know any Yid that wasn't pulling for Donesk ;) ). Our chances are better in a two-leg tie rather than a one-off.
15) Have you heard of the Holy Week in Sevilla? If yes, what is your opinion on it? Would you respect it, knowing that the game at Sevilla will be played on the most important day of the Holy Week there?
The UEFA dates have been known since the beginning of the year. Your club dropped the ball and should have been better prepared for this. You shouldn't be allowed to change the week of the tie, but moving the game to Wednesday is fine. We would also accept you pulling out of the competition. Otherwise I am not sure what you are getting at? Do you expect people to pee on your churches and throw beer cans at nuns? That is rather small-minded.
16) Supposing you know any of Sevilla's players (apart from Kanoute), who would be your favourite and why?
(that should be apart from Alves not King Kanoute). I personally like Paulsen.
17) How do you see both games (played in Spain and in England), do you think Tottenham is favourite?
Only you guys have been saying we are favorites. We don't think we are. Do we think we can beat you? Yes, but it will take a good effort, good form, an away goal and a bit of luck.
18) In Spain we consider the Premiership as well as the Seria A and our league as the strongest leagues in the word. Do you have the same opinion, or is it somehow different?
Yes, nobody really considers Series A to be that strong right now:) La Liga is highly respected.
19) To the level of what Spanish team in the world or in Spain do you see Sevilla?
You really don't invite comparisons due to your smart purchasing, great coach and phenomenal academy.
20)Despite the great amount of money Tottenham spends each season, why does Tottenham keep playing “English style,” (direct football, long balls to the forwards) instead of a more “attractive” football style ?
This kind of ignorant question makes me think we will take you.

I know but he gets so many free-kicks, he does like to go down alot.
Navas suffers from chronic homesickness[1][2], to the extent that he has walked out of training camps within Spain because they were too far away from Seville. He also suffers from anxiety attacks.
Nervous breakdowns.. he's unstable!
