2007 American Cancer Society Relay For Life

To all the Riders out there (and anyone else interested, naturally). I am participating in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life on June 8, 2007 in North Attleboro. As of now, my goal is to raise $100, but that is simply because I am going to be at college for much of the fundraising period. This is where I am asking for some assistance. I have set up, through the ACS, a site on which donations can be made. I know you all do a lot for charity as it stands already. I just figured that it would be a decent idea to solicit help from anywhere I can find it. If anyone has any questions, fel free to PM me and I will definitely get back to you. Kind regards, MM

I am currently at $290 as I inch closer and closer to my new challenge of $500. I appreciate the support i have received already and I look forward to receiving more. I knew going into this that I could count on the charitable nature of members of the Riders to assist me. Thank you so much.

Relay for Life is next Friday night and I am currently at $815 and am still going for $1000. I know there is the golf tournament tomorrow which is the Riders' charity fundraiser for the year, so I am not trying to undermine that at all. I am only $185 away and I really would like to hit my goal. Thank you so much in advance. If you have any questions, ask at tonight's tailgate. I'll be in the Cristman jersey at the Buick with the breakers sticker.

The event itself is in the books and I cannot thank those of you that supported me enough. With your help, I was able to raise my goal of $1,000. I ended up walking 26 miles around the track at North Attleboro High School. In other words, 104 laps of pure fun. I walked much of the night with my Riders scarf because my bald head can get chilly at 2am. My friend's neighbor asked me if American soccer fans actually existed :eek:
The Relay as a whole (as of this moment) raised $295,000 for the American Cancer Society. Obviously this is a National Charity and not a local one, but it would be fun to get a Riders team together next year.
Anyways, thanks again to all and I hope I didn't step on any toes with the Golf Tournament being last weekend. If anyone at all is still interested in donating, the website in my profile will be active til mid-August.
