They both run Gnutella software, created by the late Gene Kan. Either one of them is good. For a Mac, i would use the 'Wire.

Tru BitTorrent for movies though. Simply amazing. I got the Matrix Reloaded already (decent quality), but they also have some music on there. Not as much as most people would like, but the speeds are amazing.

yeah, if you get kazaa.
www.kazaalite.com
a few pop-ups on the page where you download the program, but no popups, ads, spyware, etc. in the actual program. connects to the kazaa servers, and it's still free.

My only beef is that it's a little too difficult to find torrent files most of the time. And often the torrents I do find are dead.
But when you get a good one, look out! This is a way-cool download technology, and is an entirely different paradigm than Kazaa. I love the fact that embedded URLs in web pages can link to distributed downloads. It really offers a chance to legitimize file sharing in a way Kazaa can't.

Foos you just have to know which websites to go to. Here is a good place to start at: http://www.btsites.tk/
I could give you a list of sites I go to if you are interested in.

Games galore. Anyone that knows how to burn and patch PS2 or XBOX games is in luck.

Here is the list that I frequent most often:
http://www.suprnova.org/
http://www.digital-update.com
http://www.bytemonsoon.com/
http://efibt.sytes.net/torrents.php
http://hawkie.php-script-index.com/forum/index.php?
http://www.sharelive.com/
These tend to be the larger sites with the most/best content. Hawkies is sorta dying I think but the rest of them are golden.
