Hi, I have just bought the Total 90 Shift Plus Fg:
http://ec1.images-amazon.com/images/P/B000MEI93E.01-A3GJAB4XDYE7WN._AA221_SCLZZZZZZZ_V43321595_.jpg (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/images/B000MEI93E/ref=dp_image_0/103-4866212-9527053?ie=UTF8&n=3375251&s=sporting-goods)
I had a few problems with them:
When I went outside to try them out with a few friends I felt that they weren't flexible or light at all.. I could get amazing power without lifting the ball too much on long shots.
The fact that I couldn't move my foot freely caused a problem for me as I base my game on ball control, dribbling, pausing, and cutting... I became really uncomfortable with this so I thought it might have been some other problem. I took 'em off and wore my old cleats-Predators. I could do anything again with them.
Is it just a matter of adjusting to the cleat like every other or is it some other issue with this specific cleat.
Any answer to it is ok but I would really appreciate a long detailed answer from anyone who thinks they might have an idea. Answer back QUICKLY please!! as I am going to Virginia to play in a tourney next week.

Well mate, I'll be honest with you, I think you wasted your money. I've picked up those boots in the shop and they just seem like this hard stiff peve of plastic cr@p immitating the design of a superior boot.

I feel you may have to go for another boot because I would expect that review from what I've seen of that boot.

I've got the Puma Esito, which is even cheaper than the Shift, but it is light and the synthetic is much thinner and ALOT more supple.

Wow, this is a little unsettling. I just ordered the red supremacys and I should get them next week. Do you guys think i'll have the same problems, or will the touch feel nicer because they're made from teijin synthetic?

The Total 90s are awful period I don't understand the point of them they are soooo hard and the touch is horrid...

I don't think you made a bad choice, what one person believes is a bad boot one may think it's the greatest boot in the world, it's all about the fit and such, I personally love the new Supremacys I find the touch on the ball to be quite nice.

Those are the lower end version of the supremacies. In fact I think they are the LOWEST version. And they are extremely stiff. And the be honest they dont really loosen up they just sort of loose their colour as the boot wears.

Ok, so I made a horrible choice:p .
What cleats do u guys recommend. I still have the receipt so I can return 'em. (I dont wanna have to spend more than 60 or 70 for a pair of cleats). I'm gonna go to Sports Authority and Footlocker so please advise me on something easy to find.

Thanks a lot for all ur help.;)

They're just a crappy cleat.

If you want to stay in that price range, I usually suggest the Adidas Telstar or the Nike Tiempo Mystic. More comfortable and flexible than the Shifts. Other options would be the Puma V-Kon II's, Puma Vencidas, and if you're willing to spend around $80 for a decent kangaroo leather shoe, the XAI V Premier K's are great.

Good luck finding decent cleats at either of those stores though. And good luck returning them after wearing them outside.

Seriously.

The only positive feature in them from my standpoint is that they're the only wide shoe that Nike makes.

Other than that...they're pretty much crap.

But the only Nike that isn't crap in my opinion is the Legends.

Only leather boot and the r10's are basically Legends

What about the Adidas predator absolution. They seem like a really nice boot. They are made so well you can't actually tell the difference between them and the actual absolutes until you get up really close. And they seem very durable.

I ended up buying the Nike Tiempo Brasileiro for a little over what I expected. They are very light compared to what I thought. I was going to buy the Puma Esitos which were even lighter but after trying them on and juggling a ball I felt they were a bit uncomfortable. I already have a pair of the Predator Absolution(the white/red/black one) but they're a half-size bigger than my foot so I couldn't really strike the ball with the power I'm used to.
However these are much better than the Total 90 Shifts.Much better!. Those things were stiff and heavy as hell. I returned them to the store without any problems.
Again, thanks a lot for everyone's help. ;)
