The Valley - shithole
Selhurst - shithole

That's my view. You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't IMO, but if I went to any I would say go to Charlton. Palace will probably lose to Hull the way they are playing at the moment, people at least bother to turn up and watch Charlton.

Caught Fulham-Arsenal at Loftus Road a few years ago while Craven Cottage was being refurbished. Had to sit with the home supporters, which was very odd, so I just concealed my red scarf and was polite. Someone who knew me (chances of that??) and knew that I am a Gooner came up to me and said something like "you got lucky on that own goal," which did tip off those around me that I wasn't one of them (not much of a friend, this acquaintance!), but as I didn't make a fuss no one gave me any hassle, other than when I stood up and took a photo of Vieira I think it was (I was right by the corner flag).

That was the day we got the 0-1 win.

I really liked Loftus Road. Nice vibe. No Highbury, of course. ;)

To keep things Arsenal I would recommend a trip to Barnet's Underhill to watch the reserve team. It wont cost you anything, youll get to freeze your arses off standing up in the terraces, and also with Arsenals history on the injury list some reserve game have half a dozen first teamers in them. :o its also not unusual to see Wenger or David Dein (well maybe not anymore!) at the reserve fixtures.

So remember all travelling Gooners keep your eyes on both the Reserves fixtures list and the Arsenal injury list!:D

Youll also have a chance of a autograph and photo of the players when they jump off of the bus.

I went to a reserve game when i was over in London. It was fun and i got to see Ade and c*ntly and Theo and some others. As well there was a decent little turn out and it was a friendly atmosphere. Just plan ahead if you do because its a trek out there. It took me over an hour because the subway was being worked on so i had to transfer to a bus and then back to the subway.

Oh ya it was funny seeing the youngins chase after Theos girl to try and grab a look after the game too. :D
