I really like Castro.
He reminds me of Cherundolo only much better offensively.

Why not? :D
More on topic: It's kinda shocking when you realize that Kuranyi is our most experienced striker.

Can we make this the game thread?
Sure, please go ahead! It's the first thread I ever opened here so I didn't know which requirements I / it had to fulfill.
;)

In terms of caps for the NT Poldi actually has more experience! How's that for shock value?!

Shame, we could use Gomez in this game.
I think Loew will go with this starting eleven:
----------------------Lehmann-----------------------------
Friedrich---------Merte---------Metze-----------------Lahm
------------------Frings-----------------------------------
Schneider--------Ballack-------------------Schweinsteiger
------Kuranyi----------------Podolski---------------------
Pretty straightforward although I don't know how much damange Kuranyi can do against the Czechs. Then again, he's the closest thing we've got to a "#9" in this team.

Sure thing...

Klose's out for the same reason (not to forget about him being slightly injured).

About your starting eleven: I think you confused the two Friedrich's. Arne (who can play both, right and central defender) hasn't been nominated due to an injury.
Thus Lahm will most likely move to the right and Janssen to the left.

Man, I am just out of it today. I thought both were in the team.
Yea Lahm will be on the right and Jansen on the left.
Off to the Pharmacy!

I'm quite surprised with Castro and Hilbert honestly...
I do like Castro but I don't think he's ready for the National Team and that definately goes for Hilbert.

He's going to be injured for quite some while...
He injured his knee, found out the extent of it and punched a medicine box and broke his hand :D
