Most of us are of the opinion that Ballack's form isn't good so I would like opinions on what do about this problem.
If you want to give Ballack some stick, try to keep it here and not clog up the match threads.

What's the point in benching him? With him in the team we've won the League Cup, we're 6 points out of the league, we're in the QF's on the Champions League, we're in the semi's of the FA Cup. While he hasn't been superb, it appears to me that we're still doing pretty good regardless.

Keep him of course, we need him!!
He's showing his quality on the field, and not forget his contributions.
Course some of you can choose to deny it:rolleyes:
But don't worry, he'll keep starting because Jose play him
hate him or not, sorry you're "force" to watch him the rest of seasons:D

That isnt because of him, its inspite of him.
First things first Jose should get this right he isnt an untouchable by any means. He hasnt done anything to get a divine right to play every game. Our manager just has this thing in favour of some players and against certain others. Keep him out for some time just like Shevchenko has been and then see how he reacts. The worry isnt his poor performances but his apparent lack of desire and Mourinho's insisence to play him each time which hampers the chances of our wingers and the likes of Obi Mikel and Diarra. If he can be treated like a normal player and if he can work harder then I dont mind him being here, he can be useful player at times particularly in UCL.
sell him to united ASAP
The pleasure is ours :D and hope you guys wont ask for a hefty compensation. ;)

We should strive for pretty good when we can be better? and come on, without him: 2 time defending Champions, with him: 2nd place.
Why should he start right now instead of Mikel, Diarra, or Kalou?

I wanna vote, but I don't wanna say useless, as he's not.
But sending him off would be best for both parties. (IMO)
I don't think he hinders us, but doesn't make us better (for the most part)...while I think another player would provide better results in his spot.

sell him to Real Madrid or ManU, I was way wrong about him he does not have the speed or style to shine at Chelsea or the Premier League though probably will again in a different league.
And last match not sure if he is trying to stay healthy for Germany but he bailed out of every possible physical moment offensivly and defensivly and was passing to the wrong color and phantoms. Worst midfield performence from a Chelse midfielder I have seen in 2 1/2 years, including our out of shape Portugal visitor.

I personally would love to see that...Man U needs such a player. He's not needed at Chelsea...:)

Bench him. He can come on for a forward or for Lampard as a game winds down. I'm not suggesting making Mikel a first choice player, either. He'd play in Europe and a lot in general, but he should not be untouchable. He's not going to come good by sitting on the bench, but we're all tired of him being a detriment to the team week in and week out.

Oh..I have a lot to say...but then all of you chelsea fans will jump on me..:P
Anyways...Jose should really start rotating the squad..that's the best he can do to fit Ballack in..
Ballack and Lampard cannot play together..
Essien is for sure a definite starter...so,
My ideal midfield would be
Robben/SWP Essien Ballack/Lampard Kalou/Robben.
But again, injuries are not helping Jose...

any mention of SWP in relation to the word "ideal" in the same sentence or paragraph should be punishable by death, unless you say, "ideal line-up would NOT include SWP."

I don't understand why people keep saying Ballack and Lampard cannot play together. Hello they're playing different roles and fit well together!!

Well, I voted that he's useless and should be sold of course. The thing is he is useless to us and that is the main thing. Maybe he can be usefull to Manure or some other team i don't know. But he just doesn't make a difference for us on the pitch.
The one thing that has shocked me about Ballack is his lack of trully good athleticism. I mean he lacks pace, power and flexibility in his movement. He looks like a table of wood running around not knowing what to do. To me this is worrying as we all know a player who isn't suitable physically to the speed of the premiership will have a really hard time adjusting. And this is showing every game he plays. The man is already 30 so unless he starts a really strong conditioning training regime I just don't see him starting to dominate the midfield of a game any time soon. And this is just the beginning as he has to adjust also to the type of play of the team which is something he hasn't done all season, either when we play 442 (which is used only to acomodate him) or 433.
In conclusion I think this is one of the cases when a player just doesn't fit the team or the team just doesn't fit the player, any way you want to think about it. I mean maybe he can adjust to the team next season or the season after that, but also he may never do it. Like I said the man is already in his 30's and I just don't think it's worth all the trouble keeping in mind that there are already young midfielders with much more hunger than him to prove themselves in our team. In all honesty I think it will be better for us and also for him to part ways in good terms right now.

Which is why you bought him in the first place. Ballack was not required and does not fit into your side. The problem is entirely of your own making.

Come now Teso, talking about Ballack and the league is pointless, but there is no problem yet.
In fact, he's achieved (and is solely responsible for) to date, exactly what he was bought for.
Doesn't matter a jot what he does in league play, he's only using it for match sharpness anyway.
