STARVING FOR GOALS -- 'Bofo' returns to the first team

Bautista starts against DC United, says that he wants to score and gain confidence before the Clasico (i.e., match v America).

Two weeks after, Adolfo Bautista returns to the Chivas starting lineup.

The last game that the forward started was in the CONCACAF Cup quarterfinals against W Connection. From that, an injury in the left leg took him off the field.

After 15 days "Bofo" needed to start to get back in the line-up and arrive at RFK Stadium recharged, motivated and with desires to score against DC United.

"I'm content, I've been injured and what I want is to recuperate as quickly as possible and that it wasn't anything serious. It's important that it's been this way and now I'll fight for the title" said the "number 100".
"It wold be good to score this game to gain confidence for the Classico, I'll try to do good things in the team to win."

About his injuries, he doesn't want to think about them anymore. Now Bautista is only thinking to continue with Chivas on the road to the World Club Championship.

"There aren't many days to do football or to train, so as not to lose rhythm, I hope to do things well. I'm motivated, we know that several important games are coming and we have to win all of them."

The next obstacle for Guadalajara is DC United, the most-award-winning team in MLS, with whom will be disputed the first leg of the Champions Cup semifinals in Washington.

"It is important to take a good advantage ('ventaja') and finished it off at home. It will be a very complicated ('complicado') game with much friction, it'll be very dynamic, but we'll try to get an advantage of one or two goals."

AMERICAN IN ITS SIGHTS (Side story)

Today Chivas plays against DC Untied, but for Ramon Morales it's inevitable to think of the upcoming Clasico.

"Always the one who wants, in the psychic state of the team is best, until the return flight, we know to change the casette" explained the captain.
(Translator's note -- I have no idea what this means........)

"The best result always is to win, this changes the way you train and manage the group, we're looking to win."

America is in their minds, confesses the "Moncho", wihting exceptoin, the Rebano (Chivas) knows that today they're fighting to go to the World Club Championship.

The story has a big pictrure of El Bofo, who uncharacteristically is wearing the same kind of shoe on both feet in practice, and who has white hair.

There's also a small insert picture of two Chivas players shopping in the mall.

The story also has lineups for tonight. Record has sent over a reporter and photographer for the match.

On another page there's a half-page ad for the Fox Sports telecast tonight.
