This thread was intended to be for players not coaches. Leave that for another thread. C'mon fellas, back to task please....

Here's a thread for debate on coaches! So far the names brought up have been:

Tim Hankinson (asst. coach, Guatamala U-17)
John Spencer (asst. coach, Houston Dynamo)
Peter Nowak (asst. coach, USMNT)
Pete Leebrook (asst. dir. of coaching, SC del Sol)
Fernando Clavijo (head coach, Col. Rapids)
Laurie Calloway (head coach, Roch. Rhinos)
John Murphy (asst. coach, Col. Rapids)
Bob Lilley (head coach, Van. Whitecaps; 2006 USL-1 Coach of the Year)
Paul Mariner (asst. coach, NE Revs)

Also figure that in a couple of years, players like John Harkes, and Ritchie Williams may be ready for full time gigs too.

And no coaching list is complete without Bora.

I spoke to Thomas Rongen at the USA-Mexico game here and he was very excited about the prospects of a MLS team in Phoenix and was thrilled with the idea of being coach. Great guy and multi-lingual.
