so we have our 'official' logo, the jolly franklin, and have been using it to brand the hell out of our little supporter group. but i've been tinkering with something a little more 'fun' that could be used on banners as a supplemental identity for Sons of Ben.
i took inspiration from a logo used for the 2002 NBA all-star game, held in philadelphia:

so, without further adieu, here's a soccer-playing, cartoon version of good ole ben franklin. constructive criticism welcome.

Honestly, I like the one with ole' Ben rolling up his sleeve better..
as do i, since it has the intimidation factor going for it ... just diddling with alternatives.

Just occurred to me that we might want to develop "our OWN little mascot" (ala Philly Phanatic, Chicago Sting) in the character of a 'menacing' insect/bumblebee, henceforth to be known as the "SoBee".
Any 'artist' willing to accept the mission, assuming that Members consider it a worthwhile venture (input, comments solicited!)?

Urg... No mascots. Our mascot will be "Excessivie, the Incredibly Drunk Soccer Fan". He'll look a lot like me, stand in the crowd, respond to the name "Steve", and muse about a Scarf Machine.
